Solar Eclipse Astrology Chart

 

 

 

Today, Thursday June 10th, at 4:12am, we have a Ring of Fire (Annular) & Mercury retrograde eclipse (Visible near Canada & Northeastern Russia). Mercury is currently retrograde in its home sign of Gemini, giving it access to its prime energy influence, with a retrograde twist. This planet of communication, and the phenomena itself, are both a major feature of the eclipse energy as Mercury is a part of the heart of it at 20° 41′, with the Sun and Moon both conjunct at 19° 47′ of Gemini. Gemini is the sign of truth, and lies, media, rumors, and the power of our minds/words, among other things. Thus, we are highly likely to see more truth being uncovered on the world stage as the lies we tell ourselves, individually and collectively, simply can’t hold water the way they used to.

 

Divine Messages Challenging Clarity 

 

These two eclipsing luminaries are also square (challenging, 90° aspect) Neptune in its home sign of imaginative Pisces, giving us a whole new light on our past consciousness/emotions, challenging us to live our dream by waking up from the fantasy of it, and activating its place first in our mind and then in physical reality. By moving ahead into new timelines and identities/ideas of self, we can overcome hyper empathy or martyr-like tendencies that drain us, and manifest aligned outlets for this Source of creative and imaginative energy. This aspect can enhance our lives by supporting the embodiment of our Spirit in them more fully, rather than escaping the necessary challenges to fulfill on our dreams with avoidance or through wishful thinking alone.  

 

 

Duty Delights our Divine

 

With the Moon and Sun, trine (harmonious,  120° aspect) Saturn, planet of responsibility, we are being surged with confidence to build a strong emotional foundation and footing for life, and seeing illumination unfolding along that path. Both these luminaries squaring Vesta, Goddess of the eternal flame, indicates a challenge and calling to include daily ritual as a path to our own enlightening. Also, with this eclipse opposite Juno, Goddess asteroid of intimacy and right relations, our physical voice and soul expression are gifted with much power to attract a supportive audience if we use loving words. Harsh words will push our otherwise supporters away. 

 

Love and Growth in Times of Radical Healing

 

Venus, planet of love and harmony, sextile  (mildly harmonious, 60° aspect) Uranus, planet of our unique genius, connects us with a fondness for those who encourage us to be our true selves. Venus also sextiles Ceres, Goddess of the harvest, a.k.a. Demeter in ancient Greece, inspires us to give our love and nurturance to those we hold dear, but also with the possible downside of losing ourselves in caretaking if we fall into excess. This presents an ideal time to practice balance in receiving as well as giving. Venus also squares Chiron, asteroid of the gift of healing, highlighting old childhood wounds around relating and feelings of rejection, resolved by offering compassion to those closest to us, and of course this same space for our very own self as well. 

Mars, fiery planet of ambition and energy is opposite (polarizing, 180° aspect) to Pluto, planet of passion and transformation, giving us the opportunity of conflict resolution once we can master our own fire within and not let it burn others or ourselves as we find and cultivate balance within power and drive. And with warm, growth-inspiring Jupiter squaring Black Moon Lilith, our expanding consciousness may find itself hitting against our primal shadows/entrenched habits, as is often the case with such things, but this eclipse can help to release us from this kind of pitfall. Chiron is also sextile Saturn rx, giving us the perseverance to uncover and address our personal pain by reclaiming and reconnecting with our inner authority and integrating this inner self with our outward choices. Because of Saturn’s retrograde motion, we will likely not see the full effect of this benefit until this planet goes direct, on October 11th.

Inventing Higher Realities, Inviting Higher Truth 

 

Uranus conjunct Ceres/Demeter imbues us with innovative new ways of giving and receiving nurturance, and with Uranus quincunx (disconnecting, 150° aspect) Juno, surprises or blind spots may show up in the form of past relationships of any intimacy, challenging our present and near future, encouraging us to stay light on our toes through this process of deeper inner/outer truth refinement. Finally, with Neptune sextile Pluto, this helps ground the dream to live through the possible drudgery of rising to meet social change in government/institutions, and our collective approach to human rights, unified with an awareness of Spirit and its importance in the process. 

It is said that the Buddha would teach: “Three things can not long be hidden: the Sun, the Moon, and the Truth,” and the astrological signs in this eclipse chart suggest exactly that for this powerful celestial alignment today! What truths are you finally embracing? Have you yet experienced the profound accuracy in the age old saying, “The Truth shall set you free?” ” How does your Truth set you free?
