(Science Daily) Scientists have identified special types of brain cells that may allow us to simulate the decision-making processes of others, thereby reconstructing their state of mind and predicting their intentions. Scientists ‘Clear’ Alzheimer’s Plaque From Mice Using Only Light And Sound
(Humans are Free) Clumps of harmful proteins that interfere with brain functions have been partially cleared in mice using nothing but light and sound. Research led by MIT has found strobe lights and a low pitched buzz can be used to recreate brain waves lost in the disease, which in turn remove plaque and improve cognitive function in mice engineered to display Alzheimer’s-like behaviour.

Scientists Show How Gratitude Literally Alters The Human Heart & Molecular Structure Of The Brain
(Arjun Walia) Gratitude is a funny thing. In some parts of the world, somebody who gets a clean drink of water, some food, or a worn out pair of shoes can be extremely grateful. Meanwhile, somebody else who has all the necessities they need to live can be found complaining about something. What we have today is what we once wanted before, but there is a lingering belief out there that obtaining material possessions is the key to happiness. Sure, this may be true, but that happiness is temporary. The truth is that happiness is an inside job.

These fans follow them, admire them, and are sometimes even capable of making great sacrifices for them. Neuroscience has discovered that this phenomenon is related to mirror neurons.
