- In a new lawsuit, an accuser alleges the abuse occurred in plain view of Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon, Will Farrell and others
- In the accuser’s affidavit filed Wednesday, she said she joined Sanz in at least 12 SNL after-parties between 2001 and 2002
- She said the SNL staffers appeared shocked, but looked away as she pleaded with Sanz to stop
- She claimed that Sanz had messaged her about that night in 2019, admitting fault and saying she was in the right to ‘MeToo’ him
- Sanz has denied all the allegations and NBC has denied any liability for the actor’s alleged ‘after-hours’ behavior
A woman suing NBC and SNL alumnus Horatio Sanz for allegedly sexually assaulting her claims the actor groped her when she was 17 year old, in front of the show’s star studded cast, at a 2002 SNL after-party.
The Pennsylvania woman, who remains unnamed in the suit, said Sanz, 53, brought her to two after-parties and inappropriately touched her while Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, Seth Meyers, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Will Farrell and other SNL stars, looked on, according to her affidavit filed on Wednesday.
She claimed the stars all appeared ‘grossed out’ by the action but continued starring or carried on in a wild party attended by ‘sex workers’ and reportedly thrown by Tracy Morgan.
‘I was horrified to realize that I was on display for most of the SNL cast to see,’ the plaintiff said, ‘and I expressed my discomfort to Sanz.’
‘He dismissed my shock and embarrassment, telling me to keep going with him despite everyone gawking at us.’

One of the assaults allegedly took place at the Ristorante Barolo, in Manhattan on May 11, 2002
Among those who allegedly observed the groping was Tina Fey, pictured with Sanz. Fey had previously accused Kevin Spacey of hitting on her amid the #MeToo movement

The woman claims Jimmy Fallon, left, was fully aware of her relationship with Sanz and had witnessed the groping on May 11, 2002, at the Ristorante Barolo, in Manhattan
Fellow SNL alumnus Will Farrell (left) also allegedly glanced as the woman was being groped by Sanz, according to the affidavit she filed on Wednesday
Sanz has repeatedly denied the allegations, and NBC had denied any liability for the actor’s ‘after-hours’ behavior in a memo submitted in April to dismiss the woman’s lawsuit.
Sanz’ attorney, Andrew Brettler, previously claimed that the woman had demanded $7.5 million in exchange for her silence before filing the lawsuit last summer.
NBC did not immediately reply to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
The Jane Doe claimed that she had attended at least 12 different parties with the SNL cast between May 2001 and November 2002, starting when she was just 16 years old.
She repeated allegations that Sanz began grooming her when she was just a 15-year-old intern working for Jimmy Fallon, who allegedly relayed messages for Sanz.
She said Fallon saw the teen drinking alcohol with Sanz during an SNL after-party on May 11, 2002, at the Ristorante Barolo, in Manhattan, and just acted chummy.
‘Aww, you guys,’ Fallon allegedly said as he hugged the two.
Sanz then allegedly took her and a few other people on a limousine ride to drink champagne as they made their way to another after-party hosted by SNL alumnus Tracy Morgan.
‘Both at these parties and afterwards, Sanz kissed me, groped my breasts and buttocks and digitally penetrated my genitals,’ she said.
‘At one point, as we both faced the entranceway, he lifted my breasts out of my shirt from behind, so that the only thing covering them was his hands.
‘He was also rubbing my vagina over top of my clothes,’ she added.
She claimed she was in full-view of the SNL’s stars during the party, including Gasteyer, Fey and Dratch,’ who she described as being ‘startled’ by the scene as they tried looking away.
‘Gasteyer’s jaw dropped, her arms shook and she became visibly startled,’ the Jane Doe said.
‘Next to Gasteyer, I saw Fey and Dratch looking at us and laughing,’ she added. ‘When I looked at Fey and Dratch, who were excitedly giggling and talking with their hands over their mouths while looking directly at me and Sanz, they were startled and positioned themselves behind other people.’
Then there was Rudolph and Meyers, who were allegedly in front of the plaintiff and Sanz as he groped her, with Rudolph appearing ‘grossed out,’ the woman said.
She noted that Ferrell had also glanced at her when Sanz was allegedly groping her.
The celebrities have not discussed the allegedly incident, but some have been outspoken about the #MeToo movement.
In 2020, Fey claimed disgraced actor Kevin Spacey hit on her during an SNL after-party in 2006, and, in 2018, Jimmy Fallon hastily canceled a Tonight Show episode after his guest, Norm MacDonald, had stirred controversy after criticizing the #MeToo Movement.
Meyers has been a vocal against sexual assault and called on predators to be held accountable through the movement.
In 2018, he grilled James Franco about the allegation facing the embattled actor during a shocking interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Maya Rudolph (left) and Rachel Dratch (right) also allegedly witnessed the incident and appeared to be ‘grossed out’ and startled
Sanz has denied the allegations labeled against him
The woman claims this was the very party Dratch described in her 2012 memoir, Girl Walks into a Bar, as ‘the most memorable after-after-party’ in her time at SNL where ‘interspersed throughout this party, to serve up cocktails or possibly sexual favors, were stripped ladies.’
In the affidavit, the plaintiff also claims Sanz admitted what he did in a 2019 text exchange, where he allegedly wrote, ‘It was a fucking big mistake.
‘I’m very sorry. If you want to metoo me you have every right. Just believe me I’m not like that anymore.
‘I thought I was giving you some fun at those parties. After the Tracy party, I really tried to fix what I’d done.’
Doe’s lawsuit claimed that because of her experiences, she became isolated from her peers, even after enrolling in college, and suffered shame and depression, eventually beginning to use ‘dissociative drugs’ to an extent that she required hospitalization in 2005.
While she was recovering, she said she had a text message exchange with Sanz, who directed the conversation towards sex, as was his habit, and told her she had a ‘kick a** body’ as a 17-year-old.
The two stayed in touch over the years. According to the lawsuit, Sanz’s interactions with her ‘remained manipulative, degrading, insulting and abusive towards her.’
In 2019, the actor allegedly confided in Doe that he had been pleasuring himself during their online chats when she was in high school.
Doe said despite having chat logs from the early 2000s documenting her conversations with Sanz, her friends’ witness accounts, and even Sanz’s alleged confession, the actor still has not been to account for his actions.
Sanz appeared on the NBC staple from 1998-2011. In recent years, he’s been seen in films including Clifford, Zeroville, The Sex Addict and Actors Anonymous; and TV shows such as GLOW, Black Monday, Duncanville and The Mandalorian.
The plaintiff detailed her claims in an affidavit filed on Wednesday
