A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was set up to study the safety and effectiveness of ivermectin on mild respiratory infection. The results were clear: Ivermectin hastens patient recovery, speeding up virological clearance. Patients who took the 5-day course of ivermectin recovered three days faster than the placebo group.
