(Ryan Saavedra) The legal team for Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann threatened new legal action on Monday against CNN after the network’s senior media reporter Brian Stelter and contributor Asha Rangappa were accused of violating a confidentiality agreement stemming from a lawsuit that CNN settled with Sandmann earlier this year.

DOJ Announces 236 Arrested Nationally in Riots Many in Media Called Mostly Peaceful

(Hank Berrien) On Monday, the Department of Justice announced they have arrested 236 people across the nation and 238 defendants have been charged nationwide in “cases related to violent opportunists and civil unrest.” DOJ spokeswoman Kerri Kupec tweeted that 74 people in Portland have been arrested, 60 of whom were charged with federal crimes for alleged acts they committed against federal police or facilities.

(Jim Hoft) Senator Ted Cruz introduced the Reclaim Act on Wednesday. The legislation would allow for treble damages, enabling plaintiffs in autonomous zones to recover triple the amount of actual damages caused to his or her property that were sustained as a result of rioting.
