The Buddhist religion does incorporate a more accurate reflection of the universe than other institutions of thought. It seems out of all the externalized belief systems, this one is already set up for integrating ET contact and interactions with humanity.
The narrative from the documentary Legend of Atlantis claims there are 2 brotherhoods descended on down from Atlantean times, with their roles in Earthly events unified together as the Brotherhood of the Snake. Individually they are known as the Brotherhood of the Yellow Dragon in the East (Buddhism) and the Brotherhood of the Red Dragon in the West (the Vatican), guided by the Masters of Wisdom, to play roles in the ages of men for the evolution of Consciousness.

Two brotherhoods which fight for power, who are actually controlled by a spiritual brotherhood from above. This strongly resembles the Sphere Being or Angelic narrative being put forth by David Wilcock, who sources the bulk of this from the Law of One Series. But there are many other works which describe this idea.
Admittedly when Julian and I first heard of these concepts, we had no understanding of what this could mean, and it seemed like more Cabal propaganda. But after studying other works and contemplating the science of conscious evolution, it seemed to suggest as we fall into the depths of duality and egoism, where brother is pitted against sister, and human against nature, as one people we evolve by playing roles of polarization.
If humanity forgets itself, and the interconnectedness of all things – seeking to be ruled by another due to self imposed incompetence, then must a master rise up to enslave the masses with such cruelty that they seek to gain freedom once again. The Illuminati or Cabal are a product of this process, an effect created by the cause of ignorance. As such, the cure for slavery is not to kill the master, but for the slave to be ruled from within, wherein we recognize the Laws of Nature and honor them with our thoughts, emotions and actions. The masters strength is sourced by the people’s mental weakness, an addict of ignorance and fear, therefore bravery and knowledge are kryptonite to these power hungry disillusioned beings.
A passage form the The Urantia Book, Paper 3: The Attributes of God goes into greater detail explaining this idea of spiritual evolution. This is the basis for the idea that no experience is truly wasted, all things and events serve in the Absolute Plan of creation:
(51.5) 3:5.6 1. Is courage — strength of character — desirable? Then must man be reared in an environment which necessitates grappling with hardships and reacting to disappointments.(51.6) 3:5.7 2. Is altruism — service of one’s fellows — desirable? Then must life experience provide for encountering situations of social inequality.(51.7) 3:5.8 3. Is hope — the grandeur of trust — desirable? Then human existence must constantly be confronted with insecurities and recurrent uncertainties.(51.8) 3:5.9 4. Is faith — the supreme assertion of human thought — desirable? Then must the mind of man find itself in that troublesome predicament where it ever knows less than it can believe.
(51.9) 3:5.10 5. Is the love of truth and the willingness to go wherever it leads, desirable? Then must man grow up in a world where error is present and falsehood always possible.(51.10) 3:5.11 6. Is idealism — the approaching concept of the divine — desirable? Then must man struggle in an environment of relative goodness and beauty, surroundings stimulative of the irrepressible reach for better things.(51.11) 3:5.12 7. Is loyalty — devotion to highest duty — desirable? Then must man carry on amid the possibilities of betrayal and desertion. The valor of devotion to duty consists in the implied danger of default.(51.12) 3:5.13 8. Is unselfishness — the spirit of self-forgetfulness — desirable? Then must mortal man live face to face with the incessant clamoring of an inescapable self for recognition and honor. Man could not dynamically choose the divine life if there were no self-life to forsake. Man could never lay saving hold on righteousness if there were no potential evil to exalt and differentiate the good by contrast.
ET groups have been contacting humanity for nearly all of its history, for various purposes. Based on what the Dalai Lama says, it appears that he has an accurate knowledge of some of these Races and how consciousness ascends towards non materialism. Could these “Masters of Wisdom” have contacted Buddhist leaders throughout their history? And have they offered empowerment or enlightenment under the guise of dependency? Admittedly Buddhism is a much more palatable religion, but if it’s goal is to spiritualize people, having them become more truly service to others and honorable to all life – its a near total failure. That does not mean there are not things of value within it, but the key line of demarcation is personal empowerment not dogmatic acceptance. This means the people must seek for independence, and not a recipe for spirituality. There have probably been many beings who attempted to offer empowerment to humanity at various times in history.
Padmasambhava was a being who had so called ascended abilities, able to move mountains and shape rock with the mere touch of his hand. Possibly he is one of these highly spiritual beings who offered empowerment. Here is one such imprint of the 6 fingered deity:

I do not know how Buddhism is organized into the grand structural hierarchy on Earth, but I hazard to guess that any organization which has existed this long, must in some way be connected to the Cabal, and the ‘old one’s’ described by Corey Good and David Wilcock. They are hardly the only ones researchers discussing this.
At one point during our time in Morocco we heard a tale of a man who is very influential in the black economy seated in China, going by the name ‘the old man,’ who apparently has lived for at least 5,000 years, fathering several young looking daughters who are 200 years old.
