You’ve heard about the positive benefits of mind-body techniques such as yoga, meditation and deep-breathing. Well, here’s another one that also has a real impact on improving your health: earthing. And finally, a scientific study is confirming this health breakthrough.
What Is Earthing?
Also known as “grounding,”earthing is the practice of being in direct physical contact with the earth. That is, your skin must be touching some element of the earth, whether it’s the soil, water, grass or sand.
Interestingly, many people have reported amazing benefits from their earthing practice. Researchers were surprised to discover in their studies that grounding or earthing health benefits are very real.
“… emerging scientific research has revealed a surprisingly positive and overlooked environmental factor on health: direct physical contact with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth. Modern lifestyle separates humans from such contact.”
“The research suggests that this disconnect may be a major contributor to physiological dysfunction and unwellness. Reconnection with the Earth’s electrons has been found to promote intriguing physiological changes and subjective reports of well-being.”
“Earthing (or grounding) refers to the discovery of benefits—including better sleep and reduced pain—from walking barefoot outside or sitting, working, or sleeping indoors connected to conductive systems that transfer the Earth’s electrons from the ground into the body.” National Center for Biotechnology Information (Source)

One theory is that the earth’s “negative charge” may help to neutralize the “positive charge” that our bodies gain through exposure to modern life: i.e., stress, technology, illness. Returning the body to a neutral state may help it to function more efficiently.
Jerry Tennant, Author of Healing is Voltage, suggests in his research that the majority of health problems we encounter in life are due to a bad electromagnetic energies in the body, which can be reduced and restored to optimum health by grounding.
We have all heard about free radicals and antioxidants, but here are the definitions from the book.
“A free radical is a molecule that is missing electrons. It is like a mugger looking for someone’s purse to steal. When a free radical steals electrons from a cell, it damages the cell.
An antioxidant is a molecule capable of giving electrons away……….”1
An antioxidant is an electron donor, has a pH of 7.1 -14, is alkaline and constructive.
“Electron stealers cause damage, are pH from 0 to 6.9, are acidic, are free radicals, are the positive pole, are destructive, and at the atomic level spin left.”1 (Source)
The study cited above in combination with Tennant’s research makes things rather clear.
Grounding (earthing) may be one of the easiest and sure-fire ways to ensure long lasting health.
It’s also seems that simply being in contact with nature has a psychologically calming effect that improves general health. There are plenty of studies (like this one) to back up the positive effects of forest bathing and exposure to nature.
Potential Benefits of Earthing
Those who are advocates of earthing have claimed that it can:
- Boost the immune system
- Reduce chronic pain
- Reduce inflammation
- Improve quality of sleep
- Boost energy
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Improve circadian rhythm for better sleep patterns
- Regulate blood pressure
- Relieve muscle tension
- Regulate hormone production in women
- Improve wound healing
- Reduce body clock problems such as jet lag
- Protect the body from the effects of free radicals
- Speed recovery from injuries
- Reduce snoring
- Support adrenal function
How Does Earthing Support The Immune System?
There is some evidence to support the claim that earthing can have a positive effect on the immune system.
A study published in the Journal of Inflammation Research investigated whether the electrically-conductive contact of the human body with the surface of the Earth could affect physiology and health.
Researchers were interested in whether earthing could help to reduce inflammation. They suggested that earthing allowed mobile electrons from the ground to enter the body, where they had natural antioxidant effects against harmful free radicals. In doing so, these electrons were able to reduce inflammation and protect healthy tissues by neutralizing the free radicals.
The researchers also suggested that people with high levels of inflammation in the bodies were ‘ungrounded’, and more vulnerable to oxidative damage from free radicals. Earthing may help to reduce the symptoms of Candida or other chronic health conditions.
This effect is linked to the immune system. When detecting pathogens and tissue damage, your immune system responds by setting off the inflammatory pathways that bring on white blood cells to heal the affected area. Unfortunately, this can result in chronic and/or harmful inflammation.
The study found that white blood cell counts were much higher in people who did not practice grounding. This indicates that grounding could indeed reduce inflammation, and thus allow for a more effective inflammatory response.
Another study showed earthing helped adults to regulate immune system activity and pain in adults suffering from DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). As shown previously, the subjects who were not practicing earthing had higher spikes in white blood cell counts than those who were ‘earthed’. In fact, the earthing subjects showed a decrease in inflammatory markers and recovered faster.
More research into the potential effects of earthing is yet to be carried out, but these preliminary studies are certainly positive.
How You Can Try Earthing
Earthing ‘experts’ recommend barefoot walking or barefoot running as one of the easiest and cheapest ways to practice earthing. They also recommend doing this only in the first part of the day (before 6 pm or even 2 pm). Soft, wet grass is believed to be more ‘conductive’.
Other practitioners suggest using a copper cable or special ‘grounding’ attachments on your feet.
Simply getting outside and enjoying nature has a host of proven, beneficial effects. There may be additional benefits if you are barefoot and in direct contact with the ground. If you suffer from stress or chronic health conditions, you have nothing to lose by trying earthing.
But if you’re having a hard time sitting naked foot on the ground, there’s a great solution.
Earth Runners is a company that specializes in earthing footwear, so you can stay grounded while walking around day to day.
Try Earthing: You Might Be Surprised
Even if you’re somewhat cynical about the practice of earthing, there’s every reason to suggest that it can provide some health benefits.
Taking time out of your day to ‘connect’ with the earth is much the same as meditating – and meditating does indeed have proven benefits for your mind and body.
In fact, any technique which requires you to set aside time for yourself and do something that you believe could boost your immune system is in itself beneficial!

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
The Deep State has weaponized healthcare in the sense that most people never learn the true methods of maintaining their health. The preceding information dispels this false reality that an individual cannot be healthy without the mainstream medical establishment. It offers information that the reader can use to make better choices, which are ultimately the primary contributors to an individual’s health estate. With health autonomy in hand, neuroticism decreases due to not fearing for the communication of diseases, resulting in the liberation of consciousness-energy that can be used to positively contribute to making the world a better place.
