WV Senator Joe Manchin Does It Again, Smashes Democrats Filibuster Ending Dreams to Pieces

(Steve Straub) By now most people know that West Virginia Senator has become a major impediment to the Democrats dreams of one party rule and their goal of turning the USA into a socialist country.

Yesterday Manchin did it again, this time he smashed Democrats dreams of ending the filibuster in the Senate to pieces.

During an on-the-spot interview Senator Manchin made clear his stance on ending the filibuster. “On the default that we’re — the — the — the crisis that we have time zone and timetable for, we are not going to default as a country. We will not default,” Manchin began. That’s the responsibility we have.”

“As senators, as congressmen, as 535 of us are responsible to protect this great country and an equal branch of government. I truly implore both leaders — my Caucus Leader and the Majority Leader is Chuck Schumer, and the basically the Minority Leader is Mitch McConnell — I implore them to engage, start working, work this out.”

“There should not be a crisis,” Manchin added. “I’ve been very, very clear where I stand — where I stand on the filibuster. I don’t have to repeat that. I think I’ve been very clear. Nothing changes. But the bottom line is we have a responsibility to be the adults.”

“Our leadership has the responsibility to lead. And that’s what I’m asking and imploring them to do. We should not have these artificial crises. We are not going to default on our debt. We are still basically the currency of the world and we will remain that.”

As you might guess Manchin’s stand on the filibuster is going to make some D.C. Democrats very unhappy today.

For example Bernie Sanders is enraged that Senators Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema stand in the way of his dream to remake the USA as a socialist country:

No matter what Bernie or any of his fellow travelers might think West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is right about this.

The filibuster is an important check and balance to the majority and for the sake of our nation it should remain in place.
