(Gabriel Keane) Video footage from Columbus, Ohio shows a massive fight break out involving hundreds of students and multiple staff members, who engage in wild and frenetic fisticuffs for as far as the eye can see. The fights began before classes had officially commenced and took place in multiple wings of the school.

Police responded to an officer in distress call from the school resource officer at Westland High School in Galloway after a large fight broke out among students. Video footage of the incident shows a large contingent of black students exchanging blows with both each other various school staff members, who appear to be on the losing end of the exchange.

A female voice can be heard screaming encouraging words to the participants such as “Get that n**ga! Get that n**ga! Get that n**ga!” as the situation unfolds.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s office, which responded to the situation, released statements on social media that claimed, “The FCSO has given the all clear at Westland High School and students are back in class. Deputies report there were NO weapons involved in the incident and rumors of a stabbing are false. Deputies have detained several people for questioning.”

Another post read, “Great work by deputies who responded to a report of a fight and large crowd at Westland HS this morning. The situation was quickly brought under control and the school is now secure. Deputies have detained several people for questioning and the investigation is ongoing.”

One student was reportedly pepper sprayed by a school resource officer.

In 2020, Columbus was the scene of violent threats and uprising from Black Lives Matter protesters on the day that officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder in the George Floyd case, with activists screaming “Don’t talk about peace, the f**k outta here” after an officer shot a knife-wielding teenager who was about to stab another girl.
