Vice President Kamala Harris brought in about $450,000 in book royalties during her first year in office, according to ethics disclosure forms obtained by Bloomberg.
The vice president reported about $325,000 in royalties for her 2019 book “The Truths We Hold” and about $130,000 for her 2019 children’s book “Superheroes Are Everywhere.”
President Biden reported earning about $15,001 to $50,000 for his 2018 memoir about his late son Beau, “Promise Me, Dad.” He also reported $29,528 from CelticCapri Corp., the dormant corporation he used for his speaking and writing before becoming president.
The disclosure also shows the president and vice president each have roughly $700,000 to $1.5 million in cash in U.S. bank accounts, according to Bloomberg.
While Biden has $195,000 to $650,000 in investments, Harris and her husband reportedly have $250,000 to $500,000 in a joint account.
The vice president has $775,000 to $1.85 million in her retirement.

The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do.
