Stunning video shows a smoking, red-hot “lava-like” substance in an open crevasse, The Sun reported.
The hazard — a subterranean fire in a shuttered coal mine — is near a trailer park.

“I didn’t realize it was that bad. That’s so dangerous, it could kill somebody if the ground collapsed,” one unnamed local resident said.
“The smell is potent. You can smell the ground burning the minute you get near the field,” another said.
A rep for the local council said the fire had been blocked off, before being removed by “unknown parties, which clearly isn’t helpful.”

Officials were in touch with the landowner and the United Kingdom’s Coal Authority.
“The council will continue to engage with the relevant parties to ensure they fulfill their respective obligations, and in the meantime would advise members of the public to avoid the affected area.”

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
The news is important to all people because it is where we come to know new things about the world, which leads to the development of more life goals that lead to life wisdom. The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do. With the power of an open truth-seeking mind in hand, the individual can grow wise and the collective can prosper.
