(Zero Hedge) Ahead of what looks to be a busy day for President Trump – in addition to his social media summit, Mnuchin has a meeting scheduled with Nancy Pelosi and the White House has just called a press conference about the latest court decisions on the citizenship question – the president indulged in a scattered twitter rant about the fake news media, some of his would-be Democratic challengers, and his amazing economy.

After the mainstream press criticized Trump’s social media summit for purportedly bringing ‘fringe’ voices to the White House for another grievance session, Trump apparently felt compelled to hit back. He warned that the subject of the summit will be the “tremendously dishonest, biased” mainstream press.
He also insisted that the “Fake News” is “not as important, or as powerful, as Social Media” (though he insisted he would still be president if Twitter never existed).
And when Trump leaves office in six years, taking the Trump traffic bump with him, many media companies will go bankrupt – a claim that Trump has made before (he even included a very timely Mad Magazine reference just days after Mad ended its long running print mag).
….The Fake News is not as important, or as powerful, as Social Media. They have lost tremendous credibility since that day in November, 2016, that I came down the escalator with the person who was to become your future First Lady. When I ultimately leave office in six……

Trump notoriously didn’t invite Facebook, Twitter or Alphabet to the summit, meaning social media companies won’t be well represented. Instead, he invited a group of Internet personalities. After the media rant, Trump quickly pivoted to attacking some of his rivals, joking that he couldn’t imagine ‘Sleepy Joe’ or ‘Pocahontas’ as president, while offering a little trolling by referring to himself as “so great looking and smart, a true Stable Genius!”
…or a very nervous and skinny version of Pocahontas (1000/24th), as your President, rather than what you have now, so great looking and smart, a true Stable Genius! Sorry to say that even Social Media would be driven out of business along with, and finally, the Fake News Media!

Trump then pivoted to a tweet about the pledge of allegiance being under siege.
Then moved on to last week’s jobs number and the economy more broadly.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
Fake news is a term referring to false news stories that are distributed by either mainstream or alternative media outlets. Like the CIA-invented term “conspiracy theorist,” fake news is also used as a pejorative by the establishment media and the Deep State to paint anyone not in agreement with officialdom as a scam artist, sensationalist, or domestic terrorist. In effect, fake news is the new Scarlet Letter, employing social ridicule and out-group manipulations to ostracize anyone with information that could be hazardous to the agenda of the Deep State. The reality is that the mainstream media is arguably the worst offender of pushing fake news stories, reference Operation Mocking Bird. The preceding information highlights fake news stories, media bias, or state-sponsored propaganda. With this information in hand, one can develop a comprehension of how information sequestration or reality management takes place, through an exposé of fake news from 2018. It should be noted that fake news is itself a form of propaganda, mind-influencing media for the purpose of satisfying some agenda. Therefore, by understanding the specific nature of any fake news item one can get a glimpse into the agenda and methods of the Deep State.
