‘They’re Totally Anti-American’: Democrat Mayor Switches To Republican Party

During an interview on Fox News, Lee said he became a Republican because the Democrats have embraced socialism and an “anti-American” agenda.

“The party moved past me. In fact, Democrats are now leaving that party in droves because of the socialist agenda that has taken place in the Democratic Party,” Lee began.

“They’re totally anti-American. There was nowhere for people who thought and felt like I did about the virtues and values and morals of being a good American. It was time to leave. They have destroyed the Democratic Party now,” he added.

Lee argued the Democrats’ “elitist” and “socialist” agenda is not one he “can stand with anymore.”

“They had an election recently for leadership, and four of the five people were card-carrying members of the Socialist Party. It’s not the party that I grew up with 25 years ago in this environment, and it’s not the party I can stand with anymore,” he said.

“The working class, or working men and women of this country, and also the small business owners are not a part of the conversation anymore. It all has to do with the elitists and it has to do with the socialists. That is not the agenda that I have in mind for this country of the future,” he continued.

“When you’re a pro-life Democrat, a pro-gun Democrat, and you’re a very conservative person, that’s not really well known in the Democratic Party anymore. And so for me to hang on as long as I did, hoping the party would change, it didn’t, it got worse,” he added.

“So, therefore, I found a new place that I can put my allegiance to and help. Once again, forget about the last eight years. It’s the next four years that predict the future,” Lee concluded.

Lee has a point that Democrats, particularly those at the top like Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are pushing the party further Left.

Nearly 30 House Democrats have announced that they will not seek re-election this cycle.

Three-quarters of senior Capitol Hill aides think Republicans are going to win back control of the House of Representatives in the 2022 midterm elections.

Punchbowl News surveyed several senior Capitol Hill aides and reported that a whopping 73 percent think Republicans will take the speaker’s gavel from Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi next November.

A top House Democrat is warning that the Republican Party is in a prime position to take back the lower chamber in the 2022 midterm elections.

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Sean Patrick, who serves as a congressman from New York, says Democrats would lose their House majority if the midterms were held today.

Tim Persico, executive director of the Maloney-led DCCC, shared data with incumbents showing that several House Democrats are at risk of losing their seats to Republican challengers.

And the once-in-a-decade redistricting process – pegged to the 2020 census – is expected to generally favor Republicans over Democrats.

Donald Trump recently said it would be an “interesting” idea for him to run for a Florida seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022.

Former Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy also predicted that Republicans are going to win back control of the House next November.

Gowdy predicted that Biden’s radical agenda will cost Democrats to lose the House next November.
