Plaintiff Dustin Hice dropped the lawsuit against Lemon, while claiming that he had a ‘faulty memory’ of their interactions.
Hice released a statement that claimed his “recollection of the events that occurred on the night in question when I first met CNN anchor Don Lemon were not what I thought they were when I filed this lawsuit.”
The plaintiff said that the decision came “after a lot of inner reflection and a deep dive into my memory.”
According to court documents, Hice alleged in 2019 that Lemon came up to him and “vigorously rubbed his [Lemon’s] genitalia, removed his hand and shoved his index and middle fingers in Plaintiff’s moustache and under Plaintiff’s nose.”
“Do you like p—- or dick?” Lemon purportedly said, according to the withdrawn lawsuit.
A CNN spokesperson argued that Hice was a vociferous critic of the network on his social media accounts.
“The plaintiff in this lawsuit has previously displayed a pattern of contempt for CNN on his social media accounts,” a CNN spokesperson told The Hill. “This claim follows his unsuccessful threats and demands for an exorbitant amount of money from Don Lemon. Don categorically denies these claims and this matter does not merit any further comment at this time.”
Meanwhile on CNN, the network decided to pair Lemon with disgraced legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin to weigh in on the bombshell leak of Supreme Court documents that show the nation’s highest court intends to strike down the abortion decisions in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

In 2008, then-married Jeffrey Toobin reportedly impregnated Yale-educated lawyer Casey Greenfield and offered her “money if she’d have an abortion,” a source told the New York Daily News, which added that he “also allegedly offered to pay for her to have another child later via a sperm donor.”
“When Casey wouldn’t have an abortion, Jeff told her she was going to regret it, that she shouldn’t expect any help from him,” another source told the paper.
