(Stillness in the Storm Editor) Electric Universe scientist Walter Thornhill discusses the problems of modern science and related electric universe solutions in the following must-see video.
The state of science is often promoted as being “settled,” that all the major mysteries of who we are, were we come from, and the ultimate nature of the physical universe have already been solved. But this belief is a myth.
For the past 150 years or so, science has slowed to a standstill, filled with more dogma than rationality, more doctrine than innovation, and more suppression than honest inquiry. Today, science is largely a nihilistic atheist institution, vehemently rejecting subtle realities, such as the mind-body connection, and utterly refusing to consider new ways of thinking.
Mathematics, one of science’s greatest tools, has overstepped the bounds of logical utility, recognizable as scientific theories that are increasingly abstract and disconnected from reality itself. Math is a tool for describing things, but these things may not be real, and this problem of illusionary math plagues science, as theorists seemingly mistake their mathematical models for reality. But the map is not the territory, and a model is only a description, not the actual thing being described.
Despite these setbacks, intrepid researchers continue to make great advances, such as Electric Universe researchers, leaving the materialists in the dust. While Electric Universe theory is hardly complete insofar as explaining all the mysteries of existence, it is a more honest scientific approach and applicable body of work.
Thornhill speaks plainly of these problems and weaves in solutions pulled from Electric Universe theory, humbly stating that our knowledge of the universe is incomplete at best. And yet, when compared to the “settled science” of the mainstream, Electric Universe provides better explanations that incorporate all phenomena.
