(Stillness in the Storm Editor) How do we restore balance to a world of free-range slaves when free will must be honored? It is a serious question that begs deep thought and contemplation. We who seek to liberate ourselves from the shackles of socially acceptable tyranny and oppression must find that middle path, which honors both others and the self. The solution is so simple the brightest minds in the awakening/freedom movement probably haven’t understood it yet. It is the balance between self-defense and non-aggression.
We can’t force our fellows to liberate themselves—we can’t really save anyone but ourselves. However, we can, with all the power and might of universal (natural) law behind us, defend ourselves from those truth-blind fools who push slavery and tyranny under the guise of freedom and progressivism—which is probably the vast majority of people on Earth today.
Those people around you who are consumers of the state’s propaganda, who happily brandish their status as free range slaves using all manner of media—from clothing to cell phones, to cars, to the food they eat—are unwitting pawns of the nefarious elite. They have been duped into accepting slavery all while thinking they are free.
This quote from The Matrix film sums it up well.
Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it. So what can those of us who love the truth and real freedom do, when we are constantly being tempted and offered slavery as our sleeping brothers and sisters unceasingly try to force us into their state of oppression? We can defend ourselves using methods that both honor the self and other self.
To be sure this topic deserves more than a brief write up in this post, but the points raised below emphasize that the sacred masculine principle of self-defense married to the sacred feminine principle of non-aggression is the key.

In short, we must gain internal mastery of the self, and in doing so ensure we never succumb to the temptations of social conformity to tyranny. Furthermore, we can offer such self-liberation to our fellows, even using force when needed to stop them from encroaching on our well-being. But we must never step too far in our self-defense or suppose that we can harm others under some spurious justification of acting for the greater good.
One who has truly saved themselves, a mental and emotional enterprise, knows that their physical body and possessions are only transient. Ultimately this life will end, but the soul goes on forever. And one who adheres to this principle of personal sovereignty and honorable social action might lose both life and limb on the path of personal salvation, but by balancing each step on this razor’s edge they will stand as a beacon for others.
The masses are largely enslaved by their own ignorance and unawareness; therefore, those of us who are brave enough to follow truth and freedom wherever it leads will help save the world simply by saving ourselves. In time, the mind virus of indifference and shallow self-identity (egoism) will be extinguished—maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day soon. And this global liberation through an awakened human mind and heart will be progressed forward through our efforts.
So love yourself enough to maintain your own freedom, even when the slave masters of the state and the morally blind around you seek to stamp out your light. Never give up your inner sovereignty even if threatened with violence or hardship. And always strive for that path of the razor’s edge, between the gulfs of indifference and arrogance.

Save the World
“The modern hero, the modern individual who dares to heed the call and seek the mansion of that presence with whom it is our whole destiny to be atoned, cannot, indeed must not, wait for his community to cast off its slough of pride, fear, rationalized avarice, and sanctified misunderstanding. ‘Live,’ Nietzsche says, ‘as though the day were here.’ It is not society that is to guide and save the creative hero, but precisely the reverse. And so, every one of us shares the supreme ordeal––carries the cross of the redeemer––not in the bright moments of his tribe’s great victories, but in the silences of his personal despair.” ~Joseph Campbell
