FWIW, I do not tune to 440. Neither do I tune to the New Age 432. MOST importantly, when A=432hz, C does NOT equal 128hz. This is a commonly held belief in the 432 cult that is just plain wrong and demonstrates a complete lack of thorough research on behalf of those who parrot it endlessly.

Another incorrect 432 assumption is that it produces the Solfeggio Frequencies. It does not. Study Equal and Just Temperments to understand why.
And yet another belief is that it produces whole number frequencies among the other notes. The link above also refuted that silliness.
Currently, orchestras all around the world tune outside of 440, as they always have. Many tune to 444. And often conductors will take up a signature hz in order to carve out a unique sound.
The establishment of 440hz as a standard was in response to such trivialities. Competing sections (violins vs trumpets, for instance) would tune at a higher hz to sound brighter than their counterparts. This battle of sharpness made the singers throats hurt from climbing slowly higher and standards were adopted.
Nevertheless, there is no conspiracy. There is orthodoxy, which is nearly as bad. So tune to whatever you like. But please don’t pretend that making 432hz the new standard is somehow better than the old standard. It’s just different. Have fun. Music isn’t about competing orthodoxies.
