The Good Fight Continues: 10 Points of Positive News from Last Week

Monday, June 21, 2021 By Ryan Delarme 1 Comment

Spread the love

(Ryan DeLarme) In times like these, where the public is bombarded with fearmongering and propaganda, it can be difficult to see the silver lining. That is why we’ve put together a list of hopeful news from the past week to bolster morale.

Related Anatomy of a Smear: The Media’s Playbook for Squashing Dissent

by Ryan DeLarme, June 21st, 2021

1.) Roger Waters Slams Mark Zuckerberg

First, we have Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters calling out Mark Zuckerberg at a pro-Julian Assange event last week. Apparently, Facebook reached out to the musician asking to use the song “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2,” for an Instagram ad.

Rolling Stone reported that Waters said the offer was for “a huge, huge amount of money.”

“It arrived this morning, with an offer for a huge, huge amount of money,” Waters revealed. “And the answer is, ‘F—k you. No f—in’ way.'”

He added, “I only mention that because this is an insidious movement of them to take over absolutely everything. I will not be a party to this bull—t, [Mark] Zuckerberg.”

At the event, he read a portion of the letter, alleging to have been written by Zuckerberg himself.

“We feel that the core sentiment of this song is still so prevalent and so necessary today, which speaks to how timeless the work is,” the musician read in front of some press members.

“And yet they want to use it to make Facebook and Instagram more powerful than it already is so that it can continue to censor all of us in this room and prevent this story about Julian Assange getting out into the general public so the general public can go, ‘What? No. No More,'”

2.) Children in Israel Celebrate after Being Told They Can Finally Remove Their Masks

Watch the moment a teacher told her pupils they could remove their masks for good.

The overjoyed children simultaneously rip their masks off, with some tearing them to pieces while others throw them up in the air in jubilation.

The moment the teacher tells her pupils that as of now no more masks are required in the State of Israel.

Israel’s Health Ministry reportedly said its Director-General Hezi Levi had signed the change in the rules canceling the obligation to wear a mask from Tuesday.

However, there are still exceptions; the mask change won’t apply to prolonged hospitalization and elderly institutions regarding non-vaccinated or non-recovered people, as well as passengers on flights.

3.) Oppressed Californians are even Experiencing a Slight Return to Normalcy

“It’s reopening day,” Newsom tweeted. “No more social distancing. No more capacity limits. No more colors or county tiers. And if you’re vaccinated — no more masks. It’s a good day.”

Good morning California.

It’s reopening day.

We’ve administered over 40 million vaccines.

Now…

No more social distancing.

No more capacity limits.

No more colors or county tiers.

And if you’re vaccinated—no more masks.

It’s a good day.

— Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) June 15, 2021

Of course, Newsom also tooted his own horn about how California has administered “over 40 million vaccinations.” But what do you expect from a politician?

4.) Florida Judge Declares Mask Mandate Unconstitutuional

Are you shocked or surprised that this bit of news has received little coverage? Attorney Jeff Childers struck a blow for freedom in Alachua County, Florida.  Alachua County is home to Gainesville, which is where the University of Florida is located.

Jeff Childers appealed and the Judges in the First District ruled:

Governmental mask mandates in the 32 counties in the First District of Florida must now be presumed to be unconstitutional after yesterday’s ruling by the First District Court of Appeals (1st DCA) on a lawsuit brought by business owner Justin Green against Alachua County.

The lawsuit was originally filed on May 8, 2020, only days after Robert “Hutch” Hutchinson, then-Chair of the Alachua County Commission, instituted a county-wide mask mandate. Eighth Judicial Circuit Judge Donna Keim denied a request for an emergency injunction on May 21.

Jeff Childers talks about his mask victory with Howie Carr:

This appears to be the first case in the United States where a mask mandate is declared unconstitutional.

You can read the full ruling here.

5.) Jon Stewart blows minds with his rant on  Covid Origins

Jon Stewart made news this week by breaking with the woke orthodoxy and actually questioning where the novel coronavirus may have come from.

The video of his appearance on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, which you can see below, garnered over a million views in less than twenty-four hours.

6.) 1’000 New NRA Members a Day

Recent political and legal troubles have had no impact on the membership of the National Rifle Association, which told Secrets it is picking up more than 1,000 new members every day.

“Despite the effects of a pandemic, a significant economic slowdown, and the mandated shutdown of major NRA events and gun shows, our membership holds steady around 5 million,” said Amy Hunter, the director of media relations for the NRA.

“Since Jan. 1, we’ve seen more than 1,000 new members a day joining us just online,” she added.

Five million is a high for the gun advocacy and training group’s core membership.

7.) Parents Rapidly Organize Against Public School Indoctrination

If 2020 was an eye-opening year for millions of Americans, 2021 is the year they are taking action.

Over the past several months, leaders have emerged across the country and across the political spectrum to fight against divisive, racially charged rhetoric in American classrooms.

One of the fastest-growing and most robustly organized groups is Moms For Liberty, which is focused on creating a nationwide watchdog network to monitor school boards.

Moms For Liberty (which also welcomes dads and other stakeholders), was chartered about 5 months ago in Florida and has since grown to 20k members, with 44 chapters in 19 states, and hundreds of chapter applications currently in queue.

Co-founder and former school board member, Tina Descovich, told me in a recent exchange that Moms For Liberty stands for “liberty and parental rights in education,” so CRT is just one issue they are addressing.

8.) Obama Special Flops as CNN Viewership Drops

The interview with Obama managed to scrape an extra 500,000 extra viewers for “Anderson Cooper 360,” still just 1.4 million watched the show.

Meanwhile, Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” won 2.97 million viewers on the same night.

Carlson won over 506,000 younger viewers, compared with 279,00 for Obama’s interview, completely wiping the floor with CNN’s target demographics.

CNN described Fox News’s “core audience” as “old, white conservatives” attracted to FNC’s “archaic, Mad Men-era view of the world.”

During Obama’s interview with Anderson Cooper, he claimed Americans suffered from “deep” and “unconscious” racial bias because they rejected his anti-police rhetoric.

Last month Neon Nettle reported that CNN lost 67% of its total viewers since Donald Trump left office in Janaury.

Ratings from Neilsen Media Research reported that during primetime hours of 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (EST), CNN lost 65% of its total viewers since the beginning of the year.

But in the 25-54 age demographic, the most important age group for ad networks, CNN saw 71% of its viewers for both the day and primetime disappear.

9.) Sidney Powell Appears on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom

Sidney joins the show about 21:00 minutes into the show. But the whole thing is well worth your time.

The audience’s response to Sidney’s comments has been very positive!

10.) Georgia Audit Documents Expose Significant Election Failures in State’s Largest County

Jon Solomans’ outlet “Just the News” did a bang-up job reporting on this important story.

Records suggest more than 100 batches of absentee ballots in Fulton County could be missing. Some experts see “election tabulation malpractice” as state officials seek to remove county’s top election supervisors.

Documents that Georgia’s largest county submitted to state officials as part of a post-election audit highlight significant irregularities in the Atlanta area during last November’s voting, ranging from identical vote tallies repeated multiple times to large batches of absentee ballots that appear to be missing from the official ballot-scanning records.

The problems in predominantly Democratic Fulton County potentially impact thousands of ballots in a presidential race that Joe Biden was certified as winning statewide by fewer than 12,000 votes.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?

The news is important to all people because it is where we come to know new things about the world, which leads to the development of more life goals that lead to life wisdom. The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do. With the power of an open truth-seeking mind in hand, the individual can grow wise and the collective can prosper.

What is our mission? Why do we post what we do?

Our mission here is to curate (share) articles and information that we feel is important for the evolution of consciousness. Most of that information is written or produced by other people and organizations, which means it does not represent our views or opinions as managing staff of Stillness in the Storm. Some of the content is written by one of our writers and is clearly marked accordingly. Just because we share a CNN story that speaks badly about the President doesn’t mean we’re promoting anti-POTUS views. We’re reporting on the fact as it was reported, and that this event is important for us to know so we can better contend with the challenges of gaining freedom and prosperity. Similarly, just because we share a pro/anti-[insert issue or topic] content, such as a pro-second amendment piece or an anti-military video doesn’t mean we endorse what is said. Again, information is shared on this site for the purpose of evolving consciousness. In our opinion, consciousness evolves through the process of accumulating knowledge of the truth and contemplating that knowledge to distill wisdom and improve life by discovering and incorporating holistic values. Thus, sharing information from many different sources, with many different perspectives is the best way to maximize evolution. What’s more, the mastery of mind and discernment doesn’t occur in a vacuum, it is much like the immune system, it needs regular exposure to new things to stay healthy and strong. If you have any questions as to our mission or methods please reach out to us at [email protected].
