Some researchers have also claimed that activation may be contributing to COVID-19 infections as well as hundreds of thousands if not millions of bird deaths. In the U.S., experts also continue to warn about aviation safety risks associated with activation. All of this and more has limited, slowed, and/or stopped deployment in some locations; however, the controversial “Race for 5G” continues to speed up anyway.
