Hipkins made the slip of the tongue on Aug. 22, when he made remarks about New Zealanders exercising outdoors amid the country’s Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown. The minister also gave an update on the country’s COVID-19 case counts in the same press briefing.
