U.S. Will Require Manufacturers to Sell Energy-Efficient Light Bulbs Despite Their Biological and Environmental Risks

Wednesday, May 11, 2022 By Stillness in the Storm 1 Comment

(B.N. Frank) Research has already determined that “energy-efficient” LED light bulbs are biologically and environmentally harmful (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8). Nevertheless, proponents  – including the Biden Administration – continue to promote them as “green” and want them installed EVERYWHERE.  In fact, earlier this month, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced it would provide funding for their installation in low-income homes.  More recently, the Biden Administration took steps to end the production of safer bulbs.

Aerosols in Household Products Account for Almost 1 Million Deaths Every Year

Tuesday, September 7, 2021 By Stillness in the Storm 2 Comments

(Ramon Tomey) An unlikely source of air pollution has been blamed from almost 1 million deaths every year. Up to 900,000 premature deaths have been attributed to anthropogenic secondary organic aerosols (ASOAs). While majority of ASOAs come from fossil fuel combustion, some of them can be found in everyday products such as household paint, cleaning items and pesticides.

(Ramon Tomey) More than 2,400 liters of “firefighting water” containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) were released from a U.S. military facility in the southern Japanese island of Okinawa. Heavy rain brought the chemicals into bodies of water at Uruma city and other nearby locations. The June 10 incident also added to the chemicals that have accumulated in the city’s Tengan River, which already had high PFAS concentrations.
