() A collection of video clips posted online by Grabien founder Tom Elliott features several prominent Democrats who said it was not possible to implement a COVID-19 vaccine mandate like the one President Joe Biden ordered this week.

“SUPERCUT! Biden Admin: Relax, we’d never impose a vaccine mandate,” Elliott wrote, introducing the clips.
First up is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who said, “We cannot require someone to be vaccinated. That’s just not what we can do.”
Pelosi was talking about members of Congress who, she is correct, she cannot force to get vaccinated.

In the next clip, which came earlier this week, Vice President Kamala Harris was remarking about how women have the right to choose abortion because their bodies are their own.
“Needless to say, the right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is not negotiable,” she said.
Then, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s lead immunologist, says in an interview with C-SPAN, “No, definitely not. You don’t wanna mandate and try and force anyone to take a vaccine. We’ve never done that.”
White House press secretary Jen Psaki is next, saying, “Our interest is very simple from the federal government, which is Americans’ privacy and rights should be protected.”
The next clip features Pelosi (D-Calif.) again, saying, “It is a matter of privacy to know who is or who isn’t” vaccinated.
Fauci is up next again: “We don’t wanna be mandating from the federal government to the general population. It would be unenforceable and not appropriate.”
Following Fauci, the next clip again features Psaki who is asked by a reporter if the administration should be more concerned about vaccinated Americans than those who are unvaccinated as the basis for a mandate. “I think the question here…one, that’s not the role of the federal government.”
Next, Biden — as president-elect — says, “No, I don’t think it should be mandatory. I wouldn’t demand that it be mandatory.”
The supercut ends with a clip from Biden’s address this week in announcing new “vaccination requirements” for private businesses and most federal employees, with the exception of U.S. Postal Service workers, according to the Washington Post.
In his address last week, Biden essentially blamed the lingering spread of COVID-19 on some 80 million unvaccinated Americans, saying that the government’s patient “is wearing thin.”
“Many of us are frustrated with the nearly 80 million Americans who are still not vaccinated, even though the vaccine is safe, effective, and free,” Biden said.
This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. And it’s caused by the fact that despite America having an unprecedented and successful vaccination program, despite the fact that for almost five months free vaccines have been available in 80,000 different locations, we still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot,” he continued, adding: “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin. And your refusal has cost all of us.”
Several Republican governors are having none of the mandates, however.
“Biden’s vaccine mandate is an assault on private businesses. I issued an Executive Order protecting Texans’ right to choose whether they get the COVID vaccine & added it to the special session agenda. Texas is already working to halt this power grab,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott noted on Twitter.
“How could we get to the point in this country where you would not let them earn a living because of their choice on the vaccine?” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis remarked. “I just think that’s fundamentally wrong. I do not believe that people should lose their jobs over this issue, and we will fight that.”
