(Stillness in the Storm Editor) Tambara Lilly is a writer and poet, who wrote a beautiful poem inspired by the work we’re doing here at Stillness in the Storm. 

I was humbled and overwhelmed by this sentiment. As I told Tambara, it’s often unclear from my end of the computer screen what effect the work has, and it was lovely to hear from her.

Poetry is something I enjoy reading and writing, but I haven’t focused on these much of late. In our fact-driven world, poetry seems to have been downplayed. But it has an incredible power to stimulate and catalyze consciousness. Often profound aspects of our being are energized by the arts, especially poetry as it can conjure up images, feelings, and insights from the core of our soul, laying them at the feet of the conscious mind for review. 

I hope you enjoy her writing as much as I did.

The warrior is at peace before the rising storm


He listens to the whispers of all who’ve gone before

~

His heart emits a serenity, broad strength amid the fray
Open to the voice of reason, silently he prays
~
He sits with ease and senses the night
Earth’s vibrant energy, a sword through the spine
~
Like the magician he knows the mystical life
He does not cohort with gossip nor lies
~
The warrior is cool on approach to the storm
No time for agendas, a new way is born
~
The breath of love, compassion and humble is he
Patiently prepared, he plants the seed of life’s tree

This poem is in honour of Justin Deschamps and his web site (Stillness in the Storm), which has become an important voice for truth and wisdom in the awakening community at large.
I have found his writing style and dedication to the cause for truth and disclosure to be second to none and without bias, which in the alternative media and truth for justice community is a rare and precious gem.

Justin also hosts a Facebook group page for the worldwide community to enjoy a safe place in which to discuss some of the most pressing issues of our current time, and I’am honoured to be a part of that online family which has grown from a hundred or so members to just over 11,000 in a little over a year, and a place where I have made many new and good friends from all over the world.

 Hi I’m Tambara,

I write inspirational poetry with a view to opening a door for Love, Spirit and Soul to begin its journey back to the light. At least that is the plan!!

There is seems so much darkness out in the world today that I set about thinking how I may be of service to others with respect to giving them light and hope. With that in mind, I realised that I had been writing poetry since I was a child but had never shared it with the world and therein lay an opportunity to strike two birds with one stone.

What is our mission? Why do we post what we do?

Our mission here is to curate (share) articles and information that we feel is important for the evolution of consciousness. In our opinion, consciousness evolves through the process of accumulating knowledge of the truth and contemplating that knowledge to distill wisdom and improve life by discovering and incorporating holistic values.
