Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday warned Americans that they are living in the “most dangerous times since the late ’30s” due to the “failed Democratic radical agenda.”
In an interview with John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM, The New York Post reports Graham said that 2022 midterm voters will be motivated “not based on what happened on Jan. 6, but based on this failed Democratic radical agenda.”
Even Republicans who stood up against former President Donald Trump following Jan. 6 are accusing Democrats of politicizing the Jan. 6 narrative for their own gain. A Democratic Hispanic PAC used Jan. 6 in a midterm campaign ad against Republicans last week.
While Graham describes the attack on the U.S. Capitol as a “dark day” and said those involved “need to be punished,” he feels that Trump should not be blamed for the events that day.
Reflecting on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ speeches on the one-year anniversary of the Capitol attack, Graham said: “I was really disappointed in the tone of the president and the vice president — of the politicized Jan. 6. The American people reject what happened on Jan. 6, but come in November 2022 they are going to reject the Democratic Party.”
Graham described Biden’s speech as “an effort on his part to create a brazen political moment, to try to deflect from their failed presidency.”
He warned that the actions of these elected Democrats have put America in “the most dangerous times since the late ’30s,” when the world faced the Great Depression and serious rising threats abroad.
The South Carolina senator also reiterated his prediction that Trump would win the 2024 presidential election if he ran.
