The suit specifically calls on the school to “enforce their rights to access information about their children’s gender identity, which is generated and retained by Montgomery County schools pursuant to a 2019 policy.”
The harmful policy strips the rights of parents away giving them to the Montgomery County Board of Election personnel. The board gave themselves the right to oversee a child’s transition without any input from the parent.
The report states, “This policy enables Montgomery County Board of Education personnel to evaluate minors about sexual matters, allows minors of any age to transition socially to a different gender identity at school without parental notice or consent, and requires personnel to facilitate the transition with the use of the child’s ‘preferred pronouns.’”
The policy ensures that School administrators and counseling staff have the authority to “address their [the children forced into gender confusion] discomfort to foster understanding of gender identity and to create a school culture that respects and values all students.”
At what point in our society did we allow children to make decisions well above their emotional understanding?
The policy “also permits students to use the restroom that aligns with their ‘gender identity,’ stating that while ‘[s]ome students may feel uncomfortable with a transgender student using the same sex-specific facility,’ that ‘discomfort is not a reason to deny access to the transgender student.”
But WAIT, there’s more!
“Stunningly,” the piece reads, “the policy prohibits personnel from communicating with parents on any of the above actions and goes as far as to direct teachers and staff to deceive parents by reverting to a child’s birth name and corresponding pronouns whenever a child’s parents are present.”
The Montgomery County Board of Education policy instructs that “the principal or identified staff member should speak with the student to ascertain the level of support the student either receives or anticipates receiving from home.”
This could literally be a phase made permanent because the parent – who knows their children better than anyone, including the child – was left out of the decision process. The school board is creating a narrative that any time a parent disagrees with a permanent life choice of their child, the “dangerous” or “abusive” parent should be excommunicated.
Schools can label you an abusive parent for not pumping your child full of body-changing hormones at the request of a child that watches too much anime.
