(Adam Wilson) Liz Cheney turned her back on President Trump and most of her Republican colleagues after 2016.  She decided to court Democrat-aligned media and politicians to publicly attack Trump and Republicans who support him.

She is part of a long line of grifters who left the Republican Party after Trump’s election and started fraudulent organizations like the Lincoln Project or tried to run as Independents or Libertarians, such as former Representative Justin Amash.

Cheney is still trying to run as a Republican despite being censured by the Wyoming Republican Party and being universally disliked by conservatives in her state and across the country.

After polling below her primary opponent Harriet Hageman by double-digits, she has stopped trying to appeal to Republicans and is instead asking for Democrats to switch parties in the state’s closed primary.

Her desperate attempt to appeal to Democrats is unlikely to pan out for her as local Democratic officials have already mocked her efforts.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is mailing campaign brochures to Wyoming Democrats with instructions on how to switch parties to be able to voter for her in the state’s closed August 16 Republican primary. Cheney is getting crushed in recent polls by her Trump endorsed opponent Harriet Hageman with Hageman at 56 percent and Cheney at 28 or 26 percent support.

Cheney’s campaign website has instructions on how to party switch to vote for her:

HOW DO I CHANGE MY PARTY AFFILIATION TO REGISTER AS A REPUBLICAN SO I CAN VOTE FOR LIZ?
To change your party affiliation or to declare a new affiliation, complete the Wyoming Voter Registration Application & Change Form and submit it to your county clerk’s office not later than 14 days before the primary election. You may also change your party affiliation at your polling place on the day of the primary or general election, or when requesting an absentee ballot.
