Replace Harmful Chemical Cleaners with These Essential Oils

Saturday, March 9, 2019 By Stillness in the Storm 1 Comment

(Mary Miller) Harmful toxins are all around you. They often come in the form of pollutants, toxic pesticides, or harsh chemicals, but what you might not know is that some of these chemicals might already be present in your own home. Most chemical-based cleaning products tend to contain toxic substances that might negatively impact your health just as much as they can eliminate disease-causing microorganisms and bacteria.

Fortunately, there are natural ways to combat these microbes and bacteria. You can still safely clean your home using essential oils as effective replacements for your chemical-based cleaning products.

Why chemical cleaners can be harmful to your health

According to environmental experts, you can find over 60 toxic chemicals in your average household cleaning product. Some of these toxic chemicals may include phthalates, perchloroethylene, triclosan, sodium hydroxide, quarternary ammonium compounds, ammonia, chlorine, and 2-butoxyethanol. These harmful substances can easily be absorbed through your skin. Exposure to these dangerous chemicals might put your health at an even greater risk than the disease-causing bacteria and viruses that the chemicals are meant to fight. (Related: Many cleaning products, especially those billed as “antibacterial,” contain toxic chemicals that cause physical damage.)

These toxic ingredients and the cleaning products that use them are not required to meet any sort of safety standards. They are not bound to any federal safety regulations. Some of them might even release low levels of formaldehyde, a substance which may cause carcinogenic effects. As such, chronic exposure to these chemicals might lead to the development of various types of cancers, reproductive disorders, neurotoxicity, hormonal problems, asthma, and other respiratory conditions. In a study conducted in 2010, researchers observed pregnant women who worked cleaning jobs that regularly exposed them to these toxic chemicals. When their babies were born, the researchers noted an increased risk of birth defects associated with the exposure to the cleaning products.

The best essential oils for cleaning purposes

Many essential oils possess powerful antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, and antifungal properties. These unique properties allow the oils to serve as natural and effective disinfectants. They are safer alternatives to commercial household cleaning products since they contain no harmful chemicals or toxins. Make the switch now and start cleaning your home with these useful essential oils:

  • Lemon essential oil. There’s a reason why lemon extract is a common ingredient in many cleaning products. Due to its natural antiviral and antibacterial properties, this essential oil can help you keep your floors clean and eliminate grease and stubborn stains. Since it has a light, clean scent, you can use it to both deodorize and disinfect enclosed areas that don’t get much air circulation, such as closets and refrigerators.
  • Lavender essential oil. This naturally antibacterial essential oil is one of the most versatile and best-smelling essential oils out there. You can mix four to five drops of lavender oil with a vinegar cleaning solution to help sanitize your home. You can even use it to make a homemade dish soap or linen spray to wash your dishes or keep your laundry smelling fresh.
  • Tea tree essential oil. Use tea tree oil for a homemade hand soap to fight germs, bacteria, and viruses.
  • Pine essential oil. If your bathroom is covered with stubborn mold and mildew, then pine essential oil might be just what you need. Use it to clean your bathroom floors and other hard surfaces where mold, mildew, yeast spores, and germs are likely to thrive.
  • Thyme essential oil. One of the most powerful essential oils, thyme oil is a useful disinfectant against salmonella. If you have any cutting boards or utensils that have come into contact with raw meat, then you can sanitize them with a thyme oil-based homemade dish soap.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?

The Deep State has weaponized healthcare in the sense that most people never learn the true methods of maintaining their health. The preceding information dispels this false reality that an individual cannot be healthy without the mainstream medical establishment. It offers information that the reader can use to make better choices, which are ultimately the primary contributors to an individual’s health estate. With health autonomy in hand, neuroticism decreases due to not fearing for the communication of diseases, resulting in the liberation of consciousness-energy that can be used to positively contribute to making the world a better place.

What is our mission? Why do we post what we do?

Our mission here is to curate (share) articles and information that we feel is important for the evolution of consciousness. Most of that information is written or produced by other people and organizations, which means it does not represent our views or opinions as managing staff of Stillness in the Storm. Some of the content is written by one of our writers and is clearly marked accordingly. Just because we share a CNN story that speaks badly about the President doesn’t mean we’re promoting anti-POTUS views. We’re reporting on the fact as it was reported, and that this event is important for us to know so we can better contend with the challenges of gaining freedom and prosperity. Similarly, just because we share a pro/anti-[insert issue or topic] content, such as a pro-second amendment piece or an anti-military video doesn’t mean we endorse what is said. Again, information is shared on this site for the purpose of evolving consciousness. In our opinion, consciousness evolves through the process of accumulating knowledge of the truth and contemplating that knowledge to distill wisdom and improve life by discovering and incorporating holistic values. Thus, sharing information from many different sources, with many different perspectives is the best way to maximize evolution. What’s more, the mastery of mind and discernment doesn’t occur in a vacuum, it is much like the immune system, it needs regular exposure to new things to stay healthy and strong. If you have any questions as to our mission or methods please reach out to us at [email protected].

Thanks for spreading the word about essential oils- I can’t live without them! I use them to clean- clove oil is great for getting rid of mould as well and it keeps it away. Rose oil is good for fungal infections (even better than tee tree- amazing), I use Thyme and peppermint oils for a fresh breath spray (also great for indigestion), and I use eucalyptus to remove sticky residues and it keeps away fleas if I use it on the floors.
Also, for more than five years I’ve been taking essential oils internally to prevent depression and reduce anxiety. Small doses with no side effects. I use a pendulum to establish whether or not I need it and how many drops. I would definitely be on antidepressants if I didn’t take essential oils internally. Just saying. Love your website, love what you guys do! Thanks for everything! Much, much love from Australia😘
