“The federal government forcing the American people to continue to wear masks despite the fact that we’ve already reached herd immunity is ridiculous and needs to end immediately,” said Dr. Paul. “I am introducing the Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2021 to put a stop to this nanny state mandate of requiring masks on public transportation. Dr. Paul has a history of slamming COVID-19 and mask mandates, notably against Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Senate hearing. This legislation pushes back against the executive order President Biden put into place on his second day in office. Airlines have been fining or removing passengers for not wearing masks during the flight. Passengers have been banned from flying with airlines if they removed their masks or did not comply with the mask mandate. Former Navy Seal, Robert J. O’Neill, has been banned from Delta airlines after he posted a maskless picture on the flight.

Transportation Security Administration initial face mask requirement on public transportation went into effect on February 1, 2021. This was set to expire May 11, 2021 but has been extended until September 13, 2021. Similar to the TSA’s mask mandate, Joe Biden added another when he took office. Almost immediately after signing his executive order demanding masks on federal property, he was seen breaking it during his inauguration. Similarly, climate czar John Kerry was seen violating the transportation mask mandate as he took a maskless flight in March.
