The woke talk show started its program on Friday by congratulating Karine Jean-Pierre as the next White House Press Secretary as Jen Psaki makes her exit. During the discussion, the hosts argued the possible conflict of interest between Karine Jean-Pierre and her partner Suzanne Malveaux, a CNN reporter.
Hosts Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, and Sunny Hostin believed there was no ethical issue with her appointment. Ana Navarro, a Trump-hating Republican and CNN contributor, claimed that Pierre is qualified for the job and Malveaux will not be reporting at the White House.
Guest host Lindsey Granger argued and said they need to be realistic “about what happens when you’re in bed with somebody.”
“I love to see a black woman win. I think that aside, we have to be realistic about what happens when you’re in bed with somebody, and that’s your partner or your best friend. I mean, there are examples of CNN specifically crossing boundaries because of relationships. And I know you’re closer and you understand more about the situation. But many people saw what Donna Brazile did when she was at CNN and crossing the line, giving the Hillary campaign access to questions prior to a town hall as a conflict of interest,” Granger argued.
“And so people just don’t want to see that happen as we’re leading into an election year midterms and the presidential election. I don’t think people want to think that CNN, which many folks think is a less lenient organization, is going to be given information early, or Biden is going to be given information early so that we do not see a fair presidential race,” she added.
Hostin then mentioned Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as an example of a conflict of interest.
“I don’t think Republicans should mention anything about pillow talk or conflict of interest where you have Ginni Thomas sleeping next to Clarence Thomas and sending little text messages and having meetings with the twice impeached former disgraced President of the United States,” Hostin retorted.
The conversation got heated and Navarro accused Granger of being a Trump supporter.
“Did I ever say I was a supporter of Trump?” Granger fired back. “There are many things I don’t stand by that Trump did. Trump has done things that are racist. I’m a Black woman first, so always understand that. But I do say that I have many conservative values that I will talk to you about.”
Sunny Hostin interrupted and asked Granger if she was a Republican, to which Granger responded, “Yes.”
“That’s an oxymoron, a Black Republican,” said Hostin.
“You feel like it’s an oxymoron? Why? Your friend [Navarro] right here is a Republican,” Granger argued. “You say you feel like it’s an oxymoron that you’re a Catholic but you’re also pro-life.”
Racist Hostin snapped at Granger and Navarro for identifying themselves as Republicans. “I don’t understand either of you… I don’t understand Black Republicans, and I don’t understand Latino Republicans,” Hostin retorted.

Hostin’s racist comment sparked outrage online. One user tweeted, “You are so ignorant of the Truth! We ARE THE PARTY THAT FREED SLAVES! We also love the Constitution that gives freedom to all races. We just don t worship GOVERNMENT! Nor do we disobey the LAWS at the border!”
Another user said, “I don’t understand Black Democrats. Dems were the party of slaves, KKK, and JimCrowLaws…just for starters. As an attorney, you should know your history.
Candice Owen responded a tweet challenging Hostin for a debate with her.
This will never happen. The Left doesn’t debate because they lie. Easier to stay in a safe space to lie than to confront the truth.

Vernon Jones also responded to Hostin’s disparaging remarks.
.@sunny from @TheView said being Black and being Republican is an oxymoron. That was a moronic statement. See how liberals like @JoyVBehar have sucked the brains out of Black people, including the so called educated ones. pic.twitter.com/YJUjyFuLxs
