(Ethan Huff) A slew of national drug dealers has announced plans to cease allowing customers to maintain their Second Amendment rights while shopping in stores.

Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, and Wegmans have all decided to follow the lead of Walmart by prohibiting shoppers from carrying firearms on their properties, including concealed carry.
The reasoning, of course, is that there have been just too many darn shootings in the news lately, so the Second Amendment has got to go – which is hilarious, considering that all of these stores continue to sell selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and other mind-altering pharmaceuticals that have been linked to suicide and homicide.
Another thing worth noting is that this latest gun ban announcement came after the Odessa shooting in Texas, which was carried out using an illegal rifle the was purchased on the black market – meaning no amount of “gun control” would have done anything to stop this illicit purchase.
Nevertheless, these virtue signaling corporations have decided to perpetuate the illusion that they’re doing something, which seems to be enough to make leftists happy that people’s rights are being slowed chipped away at to satisfy their lust for “safety” and “security.”
Within six hours of Walmart announcing its gun ban, Kroger immediately followed suit, according to reports.

“Kroger is respectfully asking that customers no longer openly carry firearms into our stores, other than authorized law enforcement officers,” Jessica Adelman, Kroger’s group vice president of corporate affairs, told the media.
“We are also joining those encouraging our elected leaders to pass laws that will strengthen background checks and remove weapons from those who have been found to pose a risk for violence.”

Even concealed carry is banned at CVS
As you will notice, the Kroger announcement is specific in prohibiting open carry of firearms in its stores, meaning customers can still bring in concealed firearms. But that is not the case at CVS, which announced on Twitter that all guns are banned from its stores.
“We support the efforts of individuals and groups working to prevent gun violence, and continually review our policies and procedures to ensure our stores remain a safe environment,” the announcement reads.
“We join a growing chorus of businesses in requesting that our customers, other than authorized law enforcement personnel, do not bring firearms into our stores.”
All of this pandering to David Hogg and his mind-numbed followers will do absolutely nothing, of course, to stop mass shootings. And further, the fact that these same stores continue to sell pharmaceutical drugs that have repeatedly been implicated in mass shootings shows that they are not concerned with protecting human life, but are rather just trying to look good to anti-gun leftists.
Interestingly, Kroger has indicated that it is now an anti-gun lobbyist, as Adelman made clear that the company is advocating for policy changes that have absolutely nothing to do with the new anti-gun policies for customers in its stores.
“This takes them into the lobbying category,” writes S. Noble for the Independent Sentinel.
“There is no evidence that open carry has a blessed thing to do with universal background checks or mass shootings. In fact, it’s highly unlikely anyone will attack someone wearing a gun … Most mass shootings take place in gun-free zones.”
