New Moon in Aries Stellium: Healing our Wounded Warrior

New Moon in Aries Chart 

 

Today, Sunday at 10:30pm EST the Moon meets the Sun at 22° of Aries, signifying a union and cycle initiated between the solar, conscious, masculine and lunar, feeling, feminine components of our experience and reality. This heralds a new seed point for our experience and manifestations, starting a new cycle with this New Moon energy  particularly around the warrior energetic of Aries, where we have the planetary pile up of Mercury, Venus and Chiron all contributing their archetypal stories and vibrations to the mix.  

 

 

Planetary Power 

 

 

A stellium is when there are 3 or more planets in a given sign at a time, magnifying that sign energy in powerful ways that can both enhance as well as blend the sign those planets are in, or even the planets themselves and their energies as well. In this case of the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury and Chiron all in Aries for this New Moon, each of these planets and their associated sign energy are  involved powerfully in the mix. With the Sun conjunct the Moon, we have the beginning of the New Moon cycle, which is associated with planting seeds, birth, and a fresh start. We also have Venus conjunct these luminaries, indicating that how we relate from a place of awareness of our true self (Venus in Aries), as well as how we feel about it, will also be reborn with these aspects. 

 

With Mercury, planet of thoughts and communication, conjunct Chiron (the wound that when healed turns into our gift), we are likely to feel a keen awareness of our own wounds from the past that highlight lost parts of our self that were maybe disowned or forgotten, and are ready for integration and activating of a new, more fully embodied self concept and self expression. This is where we can embrace more of our inner Aries warrior. With all of these planetary energies showing up in this fiery sign of leadership, we may feel feisty and unapologetic about birthing this more self-confident version of who we are, and embracing with greater ease what we feel deep in our being that we came here to fulfill on. Plus, with Mercury trine the south node of our previous pathways, and sextile the north node of destiny, completing and clarifying our communication patterns from the past and developing open doorways to our future through the power of our words, can bring us closer to the promise of our fullest potential. 

The Skill of Communications 

With the Sun sextile (a mild & harmonious aspect) Mars, the planet of drive, in Gemini, we are feeling inspired or called to communicate the expansion of our truth in the reclamation of this more authentic self, particularly with the Sun sextile of Jupiter in Aquarius, connecting us with the growth energy of Jupiter/Sagittarius, and the high idealized vision of what is possible for humanity and ourselves. With the Sun also squaring Pluto, the planet of purging and rebirth, we are likely to be getting in touch with deep and powerful emotions that may have even been dormant just beneath our consciousness until now, activating us and our emotionality on potentially volcanic levels. The best use of this power is to channel this intensity into creative and constructive outlets. 

The Evolution of Humanity 

With Uranus, planet of humanitarianism, trine Vesta, the asteroid of our Higher calling, we can experience strong feelings of care for the collective, but a balance is needed to care just as much about our own life as we do causes and efforts to raise our community’s consciousness. Mars square Neptune brings power to achieve and fulfill on our dreams, but particularly when we can stay away from wishful thinking or spiritual bypassing, remaining grounded in the reality that is right in front of us as we also move forward into those dreams. With Saturn connecting with the north and south nodes as well, we are present to the grit required to build bridges into our higher future, but as the Saturn Uranus square continues throughout this year, we are charged with developing the new in contrast to the status quo and blending the two in a way that is both progressive and sustainable, even and especially when it seems like the two are just too different to meet. 

We are confronted with a powerful time at this stage in Humanity’s evolutionary story, where we can overcome our past limitations by embodying more of what is real and true, and worth fighting for, in place of a shrunken outdated perception of who we are and what we are truly capable of. As we choose to ascend in our own conscious awareness and interact with our world from a radically loving empowered sense of self, we can and will reach and touch the stars. However, we must go inward and ground into our roots first, before we can activate the Great Freedom of our fully embraced and empowered, integrated Divine Self.
