() In an alarming development hearkening back to the punitive psychiatric practices of the former Soviet Union, a Maine doctor is getting her license suspended and has been ordered to take a psychological evaluation for deviating from mainstream orthodoxy on the treatment of Covid-19.

The MIT-educated physician Dr. Meryl Ness, a 70-year old doctor who has been practicing medicine for four decades, has reportedly been prescribing Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine to several of her Covid patients. While many Americans have used both drugs for the treatment of Covid-19, and have anecdotally testified to their efficacy, the drugs have not been endorsed by the U.S. biomedical establishment for the treatment of the coronavirus.
Maine’s Board of Licensure in Medicine voted last week to conduct a ‘deeper investigation’ into Dr. Meryl Nass, the Daily Mail reported. The board also ‘voted to suspend her license for 30 days and have her undergo a psychiatric evaluation,’ the publication noted.
The board argued on January 12 in its suspension order that permitting Nass to practice medicine “constitutes an immediate jeopardy to the health and physical safety of the public who might receive her medical services.”
Dr. Nass appears to be guilty of wrongthink, according to the medical authorities. She is a member of anti-vaccine mandate group Children’s Health Defense, which advocates for bodily autonomy, informed consent, and parental choice when it comes to vaccinations.

The medical board took action against the doctor when social media users began to complain that she was spreading “Covid misinformation” on her blog and on Twitter.
In October, she Dr. Meryll Nass she shared her views on the early treatment with her patients and the mystery of who is behind the suppression of Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin.
Dr. Peter McCullough, who has gained notoriety after his interview with Joe Rogan, said that the Medical Board will be “paying a heavy price for suspending her license to practice” and asking for her to submit to a Psychological evaluation. He added that “the doctors who are refusing early treatments should be suspended.”
