(Chandra Loveguard) Who knew I’d find something called the “Lost Gospels of Q” when searching for Q-related bible passages? Find out what this ancient book of Jesus’ original sayings is all about.

Truth is stranger than fiction. We’ve heard it over and over again. But really? This? Wow. I had the wild hair to search for Q-related bible passages, since there do seem to be messages sometimes related to biblical passages within various “17” drops.
From what I gather in my beginning stage of research on this fascinating topic, it seems that many scholars have been piecing together what they call Jesus’ original sayings, supposedly written within a short time frame during which Jesus walked the earth.
The book description for The Lost Sayings of Q: The Original Sayings of Jesus by Marcus Borg, states:
The image of the historical Jesus takes form in the words of the Gospel Q. The Lost Gospel Q represents the very first Gospel, older than the traditional Gospels and written by Jesus’ contemporaries. It preserves Jesus’ original words — the Sermon on the Mount, Beatitudes, the Lord’s Prayer, parables, and his counsel for a compassionate life. The original of the Gospel Q was lost for 2,000 years, but for the past 150 years historians and theologians have been digging through the many layers of the New Testament to uncover the original Gospel.
There appears to be some controversy over what exactly happened and where the book came from—go figure!
Here are a few intriguing passages included within what are considered the Q-sayings:
(From the King James version)
Luke 12:2-3
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Luke 11:52
52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.Matthew 10:34-3634 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
Matthew 18:6-7
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Luke 12:39-40
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

The news is important to all people because it is where we come to know new things about the world, which leads to the development of more life goals that lead to life wisdom. The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do. With the power of an open truth-seeking mind in hand, the individual can grow wise and the collective can prosper.

I took a college level class in scripture and they always talked about the Q source, an unknown document of the original sayings of Jesus. Along the same line as the other Q, I smiled when I realized that the white ball in the game of pool is called a cue ball. Think about it, the pool cue can only manipulate the whole game by use of this white ball. Food for thought.
