() The former premier of Newfoundland and Labrador and last living signer of the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms, Brian Peckford, is suing the Canadian government over vaccine mandates for air travel. The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms filed a lawsuit in Federal Court on Jan 26, 2022.

Peckford claims that the mandate “effectively bans Canadians who have chosen not to receive an experimental medical treatment from domestic and international travel by airplane.” He believes this is unconstitutional and that, as one of the writers and founders of the Constitution Act of 1982 that he must not only speak up about it, but act on it as well.

What’s the reason for travel restrictions for the unvaccinated? According to Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra,
“Requiring travellers and employees to be vaccinated, ensures that everyone who travels and works in the transportation industry will protect each other and keep Canadians safe.”
But we now know this not to be true. COVID vaccines do not stop the transmission of the virus. Both the vaccinated and unvaccinated can carry the same viral load. Furthermore, COVID outbreaks have been and are occurring in the most vaccinated places on earth. One can argue that they protect the elderly and those with underlying health conditions from severe symptoms, chances of death and hospitalization, but there’s no science showing that you are protecting the “herd” by getting your COVID inoculations.
According to Keith Wilson, Q.C., lead counsel for the legal challenge,
“Despite the confirmed science that the vaccine does not stop people from getting or spreading the virus and the repeated warnings from the WHO, it’s clear the federal government is out of step and arbitrarily restricting Canadians fundamental rights and freedoms. It is profoundly disturbing that a marginalized group in Canada—the unvaccinated—are essentially prohibited from leaving the country.”
Furthermore, natural immunity, vaccine injuries and infection fatality rates have been ignored when it comes to implementing health policy.
These are the reasons mandates are in question by many, beyond the fact that these travel restrictions alone violate the the rights of Canadians. Peckford, according to the lawsuit,
“Objects to the use of such products in exercise of his conscience, bodily autonomy, life, liberty, and security of the person, and believes that having to disclose his vaccination status to the Respondents as a condition of boarding an airplane is a violation of his privacy.”
Now, if it was quite clear that COVID vaccines could have a black & white impact on something that is extremely dangerous and deadly, you wouldn’t have to force and coerce Canadians to be vaccinated. Most of us would line up immediately, especially if it was quite clear that COVID vaccines were one hundred percent safe and effective for everybody.
Peckfords lawsuit is one of multiple that have been brought against the Canadian government regarding mandates, but so far all of them have been unsuccessful. Perhaps the tide will turn soon as it appears more and more Canadians, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, have had enough.
The Canadian government has referred to anybody who opposes these measures as a “small fringe minority” of “racist and misogynistic” extremists. Mainstream media has pushed this narrative along, and throughout the pandemic they’ve completely ignored, censored and ridiculed thousands of scientists and experts in the field who have been opposing COVID mandates since their implementation.
An open and honest discussion about the science has not been had within the mainstream, instead we’ve been bombarded with scientific dogma and propaganda.
Even now in Canada with the “Freedom Convoy,” a large group of Canadian truckers and citizens gathering in Ottawa peacefully protesting against COVID mandates, many polls show that maybe half, give or take, support the lifting of COVID restrictions. Like lockdowns, other mandates seem to be doing much more harm that COVID itself.

The protestors are in Ottawa to make the statement to the Canadian Government that it has broken the law and social contract with Canadian Citizens by violating their Charter of Rights! They were queried long before the convoy arrived and never responded to requests for discussion over the trucker vaccine mandates. Police should stand down as this is a fight for all Canadians against a rogue tyrannical Federal Government. In fact if the Fed doesn’t want to right its wrongs perhaps it is time for Canadians to do what American Colonists did Declare Independence from the Commonwealth and start their own Country!
