Ivermectin Now the Target of a Plutocratic Smear Campaign

(Ryan DeLarme) Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug that’s been around for over 40 years, has been tested and used in the treatment of COVID since as early as last year but has only just recently come into the mainstream. In the very same fashion that Hydroxychloroquine(HCQ) was attacked in the media and pop culture to ward off the less discerning, Ivermectin is now being subject to the best smear campaign money can buy as well.

HCQ was labeled as a “toxic bleach” despite more than a 60-year track record of the successful treatment of malaria in humans as well as the highly successful Zelenko protocol for treating COVID-19. This age-old tactic requires the application of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and repeated use of a derogatory buzz label such as “Toxic Bleach” or in this case, “Horse Dewormer”. 

The recent surge in the hubbub surrounding Ivermectin is mostly due to comedian, podcaster, and UFC commentator Joe Rogan who, after just two days of being Covid positive, announced he had tested negative following home treatment. Rogan said he got tested on Sunday morning. In response, he claims to have thrown “the kitchen sink at it,” taking various medications — including Ivermectin. Almost immediately the corporate journo’s seized the opportunity to pounce, and why wouldn’t they? The freakish amalgamation of Government, Wallstreet, the Media, Big-Tech, and the medical-industrial complex has created the largest upward transfer of wealth in human history. 

The Uttar Pradesh state government sanctioned the use of Ivermectin back in August of 2020 and its use is being credited for a shockingly low death rate in one of India’s most densely populated states. Yet, faced with mounting evidence and the adoption of its use in other nations such as Japan, Mexico, and several countries in South America, Ivermectin is highly censored, propagandized, and mocked by the FDA and US government. It’s met with an overwhelming attitude of elitism that shames those who question the manner in which it’s being shunned. 

As those Indian States using Ivermectin continue to diverge in cases and deaths from those states that forbid it, the natural experiment illustrates the power of Ivermectin decisively. Cases in Delhi, where Ivermectin was begun on April 20, dropped from 28,395 to just 2,260 on May 22. This represents an astounding 92% drop in just 32 days. Likewise, cases in Uttar Pradesh have dropped from 37,944 on April 24 to 5,964 on May 22 – a decline of 84%.

Despite Ivermectin’s tremendous success abroad, the journalistic shenanigans continue here in the United States, and the American people are continuing to call out the inaccuracies. Rolling Stone Magazine recently ran a bogus story in which they claimed that a hospital in Oklahoma was so overwhelmed with Ivermectin overdoses that they were unable to treat any other patients.

 “The rise in people using Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug usually reserved for deworming horses or livestock, as a treatment or preventative for Covid-19 has emergency rooms ‘so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting access to health facilities,’ an alleged emergency room doctor in Oklahoma said.”

Shortly after the piece came out, the Northeastern Health System – Sequoyah issued a statement completely rebuking the Rolling Stone article. In the statement, it was revealed that the doctor quoted in the Rolling Stone story was not even employed with NHS Sequoyah, had not worked at the location in months, and had not treated any patients related to Ivermectin. The statement further debunks the Rolling Stone piece by stating that no patients have been turned away and that no Ivermectin overdoses had occurred.

The statement from Sequoyah reads as follows:

“Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room.

With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months.

NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose.

All patients who have visited our emergency room have received medical attention as appropriate. Our hospital has not had to turn away any patients seeking emergency care.

We want to reassure our community that our staff is working hard to provide quality healthcare to all patients. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this issue and as always, we value our community’s support.”

Unfortunately, the western media seems to have no intention to report the truth of any COVID treatments that are not part of the cash grab which they are complicit in perpetuating. The public has been left in the dark about the 200 plus studies that reflect HCQ’s effectiveness against COVID-19. The fact remains that HCQ has an undeserved negative connotation due to its  Trump connection, which is being used to tarnish other life-saving repurposed drugs like Ivermectin. The recent Forbes hit piece by Siladitya Ray employs the title “Is Ivermectin the New Hydroxychloroquine?”.

In the article Ray doesn’t make a single substantive argument against Ivermectin; instead, he attempts to defame, debase or degrade it by repeating baseless accusations. For example, Ray cited Merck’s recommendation against Ivermectin as evidence of ineffectiveness, while Merck used no evidence to support their claim. In addition, he cited the FDA’s recommendation against Ivermectin, yet the FDA admits they have not reviewed the data on which to base this conclusion:  “The FDA has not reviewed data to support the use of Ivermectin in COVID-19 patients to treat or prevent COVID-19…”.
