(
) Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is teasing that he has proof that the 2016 campaign of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton allegedly “spied” on the campaign of Donald Trump.by
February 15th, 2022According to the Daily Mail, Giuliani, who served for a time as a personal attorney for Trump’s 2020 campaign, made his claim following a bombshell filing by Special Counsel John Durham stating he has evidence Clinton’s campaign contracted with a tech firm to “infiltrate” servers at Trump Tower and the Executive Office of the President in an attempt to dredge up a nefarious link between Trump and the Russian government.
“I can’t tell you exactly how, but I know how (Trump) knew about it back then,” Giuliani said in an interview Wednesday with Newsmax TV.
“There’s a lot more to come out,” he continued. “They may think it’s gobbledygook, but it’s gobbledygook supported by about 1,000 pieces of evidence, none of which have been revealed yet.
“I happen to have it in my bedroom, or my den, actually. I’ve had it there for years,” he added.
In comments this week, former President Trump also hinted that there is more coming from Durham, who was appointed to look into the origins of the ‘Russiagate’ investigation by then-Attorney General William Barr in late 2020.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump was reacting to reports about Durham’s court filing.
“It looks like this is just the beginning, because, if you read the filing and have any understanding of what took place, and I called this a long time ago, you’re going to see a lot of other things happening, having to do with what, really, just is a continuation of the crime of the century,” the 45th president said. “This is such a big event, nobody’s seen anything like this.”
Trump said he “didn’t have any” insight into the allegations included in Durham’s Feb. 11 filing until it was made public.
“Who would think a thing like this is even possible?” Trump said. “Durham is also coming up with things far bigger than anybody thought possible—Nobody ever thought a thing like this would be even discussed, let alone an act like this committed.”
“This is as bad as it gets,” Trump said. “They got caught and they’re trying to figure out what to say to dim it a little bit.”
Durham’s revelations were made in a court filing late last week centering on potential conflicts of interest connected to the representation of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman, who has been charged with allegedly lying to the FBI.
The bombshell news was first reported by Fox News:
Durham filed a motion on Feb. 11 focused on potential conflicts of interest related to the representation of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman, who has been charged with making a false statement to a federal agent. Sussman has pleaded not guilty.
The indictment against Sussman says he told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016, less than two months before the 2016 presidential election, that he was not doing work “for any client” when he requested and held a meeting in which he presented “purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel” between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.
In the February 11 filing in a section titled “Factual Background,” Durham said that Sussman “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.”
It said that Sussman’s “billing records reflect” that he “repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his work on the Russian Bank-1 allegations.”
The filing showed that the Tech Executive and Sussman met and talked to another law partner, who was serving as General Counsel to the Clinton campaign. That attorney, sources said, is Marc Elias, who worked at the law firm Perkins Coie, which facilitated the discredited “Steele dossier.”
