Last week our ad service de-platformed us. We asked for support from you, the readers, to help us stay open.

I’m happy to report that we received the contributions we need to keep Stillness in the Storm going!

I was so overwhelmed to see this support.

With this outpouring comes something I’ve been wanting to do since Stillness started in 2013.

For years we’ve used external ads from Adsense to fund the site, and I never really liked having ads I couldn’t’ control. But this was a necessary means of generating the funds we needed to pay our costs.

Since that’s no longer an option, and you the readers have spoken with your dollars that you value the work we’re doing here, I’ve decided to keep these ads off the site entirely.

This means almost all the external ads we used to have on Stillness will not return!

The only ads you will see on the site are affiliate ads, which are partnerships I’ve created with other ethical businesses like Stillness, showcasing products and services that are truly beneficial, like EMF Harmonized, Dragonfly Effect Naturals, and my brand, Body For Awareness Project. Lockerdome ads will only be at the bottom of every post and the small ad on the sidebar, both of which are nonintrusive ads that can be easily ignored.

As long as we can keep reader support maintained month after month, we’ll keep the site essentially ad-free.

We raised enough funds for September and October, thanks to the overwhelming support of many readers, some of whom, pledged substantial amounts. 

I’ll be placing a status on the site that shows where we are with the funding we need, this way you can offer support when it’s needed. If the past two days are any indication, the love and generosity offered by you will keep this work going well on into the future. We’ll start another fundraising campaign in December.

What is our mission? Why do we post what we do?

Our mission here is to curate (share) articles and information that we feel is important for the evolution of consciousness. Most of that information is written or produced by other people and organizations, which means it does not represent our views or opinions as managing staff of Stillness in the Storm. Some of the content is written by one of our writers and is clearly marked accordingly. Just because we share a CNN story that speaks badly about the President doesn’t mean we’re promoting anti-POTUS views. We’re reporting on the fact as it was reported, and that this event is important for us to know so we can better contend with the challenges of gaining freedom and prosperity. Similarly, just because we share a pro/anti-[insert issue or topic] content, such as a pro-second amendment piece or an anti-military video doesn’t mean we endorse what is said. Again, information is shared on this site for the purpose of evolving consciousness. In our opinion, consciousness evolves through the process of accumulating knowledge of the truth and contemplating that knowledge to distill wisdom and improve life by discovering and incorporating holistic values.
