How To Sleep Better: The Best Sleep Supplements and Tools

Learning how to sleep better is knowledge that can likely help either you or someone you know. According to a Customer Reports survey, an estimated 168 million Americans have trouble with sleep at least one night per week… and that is only one country!

With my experience in the nutritional supplement and wellness industries, I will detail some of the best natural sleep supplements on the market, including the top-selling one, as well as some other tips and suggestions for helping to get a much better night’s sleep. My intention is to provide valuable information that actually helps you or someone you know dramatically improve your life and health.

Practices

An overly simplistic but incredibly helpful and healthy practice to put into place is unplugging your internet router at night before you go to bed. It is known that the Wi-Fi frequencies can interfere with brainwaves and thus, with quality sleep. As many reading this articles already knows, Wi-Fi and other harmful electromagnetic frequencies like 5G are not beneficial to human, animal, plant or insect life. Make it a practice to unplug your router each night.

Another easy practice to incorporate is turning off your phone and keeping it outside of your bedroom/sleeping space. This is also another simple practice, but very important and easy to implement. If your phone is used for an alarm, simply switch your phone to Airplane mode, where your alarm will still sound in the morning. Again though, it is best if the phone is stored outside of your sleeping space.

The last practice to incorporate is to not watch television, view your computer screen or phone for at least 30 minutes to an hour before going to bed. Harvard researchers have shown that exposure to blue light (which comes from those aforementioned screens), suppresses the release of melatonin and disrupts the body’s natural circadian rhythm.

With today’s technology use as it stands today, it can be difficult for many people to not be viewing a screen for at least 30 minutes to an hour before bed. While implementing that practice is the best overall strategy, using blue light blocking glasses have become a massive trend around the world.

These glasses are designed to dramatically reduce the amount of blue light that crosses the lenses and into the eyes, which helps with “computer eyes”, eye strain, energy levels, headaches, mood and even better sleep. These are becoming essential for many people, especially those who spend a considerable amount of time looking at some sort of digital screen throughout the day.

Another very popular device that people are using to sleep better is Earthing sheets. These are sheets that are plugged into the “grounding” port of an electrical outlet. The device allows the electrons that are emitted from the Earth to conduct through the cable and into the silver fibers of the sheet. As the skin touches the sheet, our body absorbs these electrons and they help to ease inflammation and allow a deeper, more restful sleep. It has also been shown that grounding helps to protect the body from damaging electromagnetic frequencies (like Wi-Fi and 5G). While some ignorantly believe that grounding is “pseudoscience,” one can easily educate him or herself on the peer-reviewed published studies on PubMed.

Melatonin is one of the most common sleep aids on the market, but almost every single one of them is synthetically created.
