(Jonathan Davis) Failed 2008 and 2016 Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton is warning anew that should former President Donald Trump win the White House again in 2024 it will be the end of American democracy.

“If I were a betting person right now, I’d say Trump is going to run again,” she said Sunday on NBC’s “Today.”
“He seems to be setting himself up to do that, and if he’s not held accountable, then he gets to do it again. I think that could be the end of our democracy. Not to be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this is a make-or-break point,” she claimed.
“If he or someone of his ilk were once again to be elected president, and if especially if he had a Congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognize our country,” the former first lady said.
“I tried to warn people. I tried to make the case that this was really dangerous — the people he was allied with, what they were saying, what he might do,” Clinton continued.
“I do think, but for Jim Comey and the stunt he pulled 10 days before the election, I would have won. I feel terrible about not stopping him and the people around him, but I feel like now everybody can see for themselves what kind of leader he is,” she added, without elaborating on what constitutional amendments or civil rights Trump eliminated while he was in office.
“Clearly, there were people who liked what they saw, despite what I see as the real dangers to our country. They turned out and voted for him. And he’s trying to get it set up so that will happen again for him, even as he loses, as he did twice, the popular vote,” she went on without elaborating that Americans don’t elect presidents via popular vote, we elect them via the Electoral College.
Clinton has been in the news again recently hawking her version of events as well as weighing in on the 2024 election.
She also said during the same interview that she did not have a concession speech written ahead of her loss to Trump because, obviously, she didn’t expect to lose.
“Even though we had a lot of bumps those last 10 days, I still thought we could pull it out so I worked on a speech that really was about my journey and had a real emphasis on my mother’s life and journey as a way of making it clear that, yes, I would be the first woman president, but I like everybody stood on the shoulders and lived the lives and experiences of those who came before us,” she said.
Last week, Clinton made headlines for a video clip in which she choked up as she read what she claimed was her victory speech, choking up as she talked about her mother, Dorothy Rodham, who died in 2011. Clinton has said her mother had a difficult childhood.
“I dream of going up to her and sitting down next to her, taking her in my arms and saying, ‘Look at me. Listen to me. You will survive. You will have a good family of your own, and three children,’” Clinton said.
“And as hard as it might be to imagine, your daughter will grow up and become the president of the United States,” she sobbed.
Clinton has never gotten over her loss to Trump; she has regularly clung to the disproven narrative that the election was “stolen” from her by Russian operatives working with the Trump campaign.
She has also blamed fired FBI Director James Comey, even though he decided to let her off the hook for what he said were notable legal violations in mishandling classified emails.
