(Kyle Becker) NBA mega-star Lebron James, fresh off a classic game-winning shot against the Warriors in the play-in round, has been found to have violated the league’s COVID protocols.

Despite the NBA’s fining, suspending, and quarantining of past players who have violated the league “rules,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver will apparently protect the superstar.
“Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James violated the NBA’s health and safety protocols but will not face a 10- to 14-day quarantine away from the team,” the USA Today reported, adding, “James attended a promotional event for Lobos 1707 tequila, a spirit in which James is an investor.”
“It’s a violation of the agreed upon protocols, and, as we have in other comparable instances around the league, it has been addressed with the team,” a league spokesman said.
“The event was held outside and guests were required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 to test,” the report added, a detail that will prove interesting. “The 10- to 14-day quarantine usually occurs when contact tracing shows a player was in close contact with a person who tested positive or that player visited an indoor club, bar or lounge.”
The league’s original health and safety protocols say, “a player must notify his team at least three days in advance of any in-person appearance at any event with more than 25 attendees that is intended to fulfill such a commitment (e.g., to film an advertisement or promote a product activation). If the team has concerns with the sponsor’s safety protocols and/or the setting that the player has proposed to access in order to comply with such commitment, the team must inform the NBA for discussion between the NBA and NBPA regarding whether such activity and the particular protocols and/or setting are consistent with the Core Principles and, if they are not, necessary actions to reduce the risk of infection.”
But here is the surprising part: Lebron James is not confirmed to have been vaccinated for COVID-19. It is unknown if he even provided a negative COVID test for his own event.

He dodges questions about it,” sports commentator Skip Bayless remarked. “The Lakers definitely have not passed the 85% vaccination threshold, meaning they can’t enjoy any team freedoms on planes or on the road during the playoffs, starting now in Phoenix.”

The Lakers are set to start Game 1 of their playoff series against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, but apparently will not be missing their key superstar player. James is reportedly battling a leg injury, which will give him an excuse if the Lakers lose, or a convenient narrative to prop up his status among the all-time NBA greats.
Lebron James is well-known as a China-apologizing, left-wing activist whose desperate attempts to seem culturally relevant include taking snapshots of him reading the first page of left-wing books. In June 2020, James headlined a coalition of NBA players harnessing their clout to influence the U.S. presidential election.

The N.B.A. superstar LeBron James and a group of other prominent black athletes and entertainers are starting a new group aimed at protecting African-Americans’ voting rights, seizing on the widespread fury against racial injustice that has fueled worldwide protests to amplify their voices in this fall’s presidential election.
“Because of everything that’s going on, people are finally starting to listen to us — we feel like we’re finally getting a foot in the door,” James said. “How long is up to us. We don’t know. But we feel like we’re getting some ears and some attention, and this is the time for us to finally make a difference.”
When Georgia passed its voter integrity law in 2021, Lebron James was right there to misinform the public with ignorant takes implying that voter IDs are tantamount to voter suppression. His group, More Than a Vote, ran a 30-second ad alleging that voter IDs was an attempt to “silence” black voters.
“Look what we made happen,” James said among flashing images of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. “What our voices made possible. And now look what they’re trying to do to silence us. Using every trick in the book.”
Lebron James has thus figured out that if he engages in Woke activism, then powerful influencers like NBA commish Adam Silver will make him ‘untouchable.’ Professional sports in America are thus becoming every bit a two-tier justice system that the actual Department of Justice has become.
