Interpretations: “Merrimacs enter, where calcifieds have failed.” – The term merrimac has no official meaning but is the name of a native American tribe that lived in the Merrimack Valley along the northern coast of Massachusetts. Merrimac means swift water place, according to the natives. Interestingly enough, I’ve lived not too far from this valley and much of my father’s side of the family lives in the post-industrial city of Lawrence, near Lowell, both of which are located along the Merrimack river. The point of interest with respect to this term is most likely the reference to swift water place, which is suggestive of a high energy area. Water is often used to represent symbolically something that is deeply penetrative. Within astrology, water signs have excellent intuitive and emotional abilities. Water is also an excellent media in chemistry for dissolving various compounds so that they may be combined with other substances in solution. In light of these qualities, the term calcified refers to a hardened material which has accumulated dissolved solids via a process of electromagnetic attraction.

For example, if one consumes phosphoric acid, an alleged preservative found in most soft drinks, the calcium located in one’s teeth and bones dissolves into the blood stream altering electroconductivity of the body in general. Once enough of these dissolves solids have permeated the swift water of our bodies, they begin accumulating in areas they weren’t meant to be, such as inside the watery areas between our joints, eyes, and soft tissue. Eventually, calcium deposits form causing disease and pain in the joints, which leads to arthritis and gout. Symbolically, a calcification is a belief or behavior which as become rigid such that it is now a destructive element in one’s life. When we become calcified with respect to something it usually means we refuse to change or that we can’t. One who always votes democrat in elections, because that’s what they’ve always done, has become calcified in this respect. Within a social context, traditions can become calcified such that the culture overwhelms an evolving soul to the point where they stop realizing their unique nature and reflect cultural norms within. Consider the teenage years of development whereby placement within schools and social institutions all but shatters the internal growth instinct in favor of social conformity. 

On the one hand, we have merrimacs and on the other we have calcifieds. Given what was just described, this statement can be interpreted to me that in order to let go of calcification, swift moving waters are needed. Flowing dynamic movements of energy, which we could liken to dance and play, are in the flow, so to speak. When we feel present and invested in the moment, we’re most able to transform and change. Swift water or merrimacs, in this sense, is the light of our consciousness. We tend to feel the most alive and open to life when the energy of awareness pours through us unhindered. But when we become rigid and dogmatic, especially when we don’t really understand why calcification of consciousness sets in. Dogmatic tradition, in this sense, is anything we choose to do that we don’t consciously verify is the best for us in our growth. Considering that most of humanity doesn’t even acknowledge that life is about growth in all respects, they are heavily calcified, filled with a seemingly unending litany of stubborn irrational and self-destructive beliefs. But swift moving water can change that (the conscious mind of awareness), the energy of life that moves through us to heal our fears and help us move past trauma. 

Trauma we could consider a calcification because it becomes like a festering boil within our psyche. Trauma is a sensation, feeling or experience which is so intense and potent, we turn away or dissociate from it as a self-defensive measure. The experience of being tortured is obviously quite intense, and as a result, most people withdraw their consciousness from the life so as to be protected. But if we don’t go back and pour swift water into the experience, if we pour the light of our awareness into the traumatic event, we can begin to shake loose the calcification. Calcifieds have failed, is most likely suggestive of the fact that anything that becomes calcified (whether physically, emotionally or intellectually) tends to hold us back and cause problems. 

Within the soda example above, the dissolved solids released from phosphoric acid accumulate in the kidneys, eventually migrating out of the body in a very painful episode. And ironically, the tendency to consume self-destructive foods stems from a deep trauma of life, reaching far back into our past during childhood. Therefore, a calcification within consciousness, a trauma or dogmatic belief we haven’t fully processed, leads to failings we associate with disease and disempowerment. But if we stop drinking soda and begin to drink clean pure water, these calcifications in the body can be broken up and reabsorbed into the places they should be. Trauma similarly is broken up by consciousness and the information it contains, once fully accepted and loved, dissolves into the mind. What we were so fearful of no longer causes us to fail in our life pursuits and actually empowers us as a result of going through the healing processes.

“Steadfastness of the Higher Light dissolve all blocks.” – A similar concept to calcification, which is a material example of stubbornness, is steadfastness. But unlike the other variants, steadfastness is a quality of holistic action, a positive beneficial quality. Stubbornness is often a result of a lack of holistic thinking. When we refuse to look at something and evaluate it with all our faculties (emotionally and intellectually) we tend to form close-minded dogmatic beliefs, calcifications within consciousness. But steadfastness is focused dedication, a mustering of all consciousness into a purpose with clarity. An artist works with steadfastness to finish a painting. A writer works with steadfastness to complete their book. And with respect to the Creator, the truth works with eternal steadfastness to lovingly nurture the evolving souls of time and space. 

The higher light dissolves all blocks because the truth is no respecter of persons. The truth is that expression of love pouring into our awareness from the universe at large. Everything that has unfolded in the past, is unfolding now, and will unfold into the future is a part of the truth, which influences us via our point of observation in the cosmos. This statement can be interpreted to mean that the answer to our prayers, so to speak, is the truth of life itself. We may mistakenly block our growth due to pain and trauma, we might accidently form rigid dogmatic beliefs in an effort to maintain emotional stability. And the universe loves us and supports us in this respect, while also unfailingly and steadfastly holding to the truth so that we can be healed and transformed. Higher light in this sense is that kind of divine guidance and tender love, which consoles us in times of hardship but also encourages us to stand up when we’ve fallen down. It reminds us when life gets too hard and we begin to feel disempowered that this too shall pass. In the process, we find the resolve and inner conviction (steadfastness) to keep walking up the mountain of truth and consciousness evolution. 

“Mortifications are annulled.” – The term mortification contemporarily refers to the act of being embarrassed or shamed, and in times of old referred to the process of death and decay. The term annulled refers to the act of declaring something invalid and therefore non-binding and often used legally to refer to marriages that have no standing. Combining the two terms, it can be interpreted to mean that the act or process of embarrassment is being declared invalid. Shaming, in general, is used by our would-be masters, and by extension, humanity at large, to behaviorally modify an individual. We’ve been trained by society to shame our children into compliance with what we think they should be doing. We tell them they are bad, tell them “no don’t do that,” and force them to go to schools to be evaluated against their peers, all of which mortifies the evolving soul within. 

The effect of shaming can be incredibly destructive to that inner drive to love life and explore the world as a result. When we feel shame it is a sense of disquiet or imbalance with respect to ourselves. Shame is the act of declaring ourselves unworthy and undesirable, a failure, something to be hated and reviled. All of this leads to a sense of trauma unless we’ve somehow found a way to transform ourselves as a result. While society and social situations can offer us shame, we need not accept the offer. In relation to school, just because we didn’t get the best grade in the class doesn’t mean we are unworthy, it just means we’re different. When we set aside rigid and dogmatic views of enculturation, those values which tell us we have to be something other than ourselves to be loved and accepted, mortifications are annulled. Behavioral modification techniques that employ shaming are rampant on Earth. I’ve recently been studying this aspect of child psychology in great detail and in doing so it has shown me how far off the mark we have become as a civilization. But when we think for ourselves, when we dare to question the status quo and accept our divine nature, these offers of mortification are seen for what they are. As children, we have no such defenses, which means most of the adults walking around today are filled with mortifications (calcifications of consciousness) that are self-destructive. But the steadfastness of higher lights dissolves mortifications. 

“Uplevellings are embraced.” – The term upleveling has no official meaning, but is fairly easy to recognize that it’s most likely referring to the act of increasing something, moving it from a lower level to a higher one. Generally speaking, when we grow in life, we’re moving from a lower to a higher state of being. A singer who has no skill at first, uplevels after practice. Within the framework of cosmic evolution, any time we embrace the truth, consciousness is upleveled. But these things are not always embraced. As was mentioned earlier, the culture of this world is destructive because it seeks to suppress the individual forcing them to be a cog in the machine of society. We can’t bad apples ruin our good time. The energy industry can’t let free energy inventions come to market else their industry would collapse. The truth similarly can be difficult to accept, especially if we’ve become recalcitrant. But if uplevelings are embraced then this suggests that we are finding the courage to face the truth and experience soul growth as a result. And while in the heat of the moment, it can feel as though we may have taken a step back, we are always moving forward in universal progress and attainment. That doesn’t mean we should sit back and do nothing, assuming everything will work itself out. Instead, we must be active players in the scheme of universal progress, embracing our mistakes as an offer of upleveling from on high.

“Necessities are only of the Light.” – The term necessities refers to something we’ve defined as needed or required. Breathing air is a necessity of life. But due to the distortions of calcification and enculturation, we tend to value things that are necessities of darkness, instead of light. For example, many people consider drinking soda a necessity. avoiding water as if it was poison. I know at least a dozen people in my life right now who refuse to drink water and only soda or other flavored beverages. And as we mentioned earlier, the price of this choice is disease and disempowerment. But a necessity of light are things we define as needed which uplevel us as a result. Finding examples of this are difficult but they are present within society today. For example, many of us think finding balance and harmony with nature is a necessity as a recognition that we are destroying the planet. With respect to soul growth, the truth is a necessity of light. Without the truth, we can’t grow and evolve, without the truth, we stagnate and eventually die—although most may not think of it this way. This statement can be interpreted to mean that humanity is beginning to find value in things that are truly of benefit for soul growth and evolution. And considering that the truth is the central foundation for these things, it suggests that we’re beginning to be more open to its transformative power. In this respect, changing our values by going within and discerning if something we want is of benefit is very important. We can’t be in two worlds at once. We can’t value getting drunk every night and also value health, as one destroyes the other. But when we let go of things we valued in the past, we can focus more clearly on a new and better way, a necessity of light.

He said that we could offer our insights into what they could mean and in doing so create a venue for deep discussion and consciousness exploration. This is just one example of the countless ways he helped me in my life path, for which I am eternally grateful. I want to dedicate these interpretations to him and his memory.
