Who and what are Starseeds?
What is ahead for them in the upcoming year, and how can we participate in this process?

On March 20th, 5:37am EST, the Sun entered into its exalted expression in the sign of Aries, kicking off the beginning of the zodiacal new year with the Northern Hemisphere Spring Equinox. In this sense, and with the start of every year, we are presented with the energy of the new; a fresh life, and being reborn as a wiser version of our previous self. With the Solar return chart of this astrological new year (like a birthday chart, in this case for the Sun itself, and the year ahead), we see some very interesting patterns reveal themselves.
Solar Return Chart
The solar return chart represents a symbolic preview and layout of how the following 365 days will likely play out, on an energetics level. Here are some of the major breakdowns:
Sense of self
Aquarius is on the horizon this year, and that will likely mean we are feeling an increasing sense of radical thought and self expression, a Higher-Calling to aligning with our unique, authentic self. With Mercury (our mind), Neptune (our spirit) and Pallas Athena (our refined intellect) all in the sign of dreamy Pisces, and in the 1st house of identity and sense of self, we are likely to feel more idealistic about our self and direction, or at least feel called to bridge our dreams into reality like never before. Caution is warranted to be aware of being too idealistic or unrealistic, and getting clear on what is ours to cultivate, and what isn’t.
Relationships
With the Goddess of Higher-Calling, Vesta, retrograde in 7th house of relationships, we are likely to be reviewing and revising which relationships are truly aligned and worthy of dedication with this new self we are birthing. We will likely continue to experience more breaking away from deceptive relationships that drain us, making more space for life-path and soul-fulfilling connections, and seeing more clearly the give and taken within them, especially illustrated by this opposition between Mercury and Vesta.
With Venus in ethereal Pisces, conjunct the Sun in Aries, we are poised to experience a paradox of both a greater merging in relationships that also supports our understanding of our own individual drive and direction. With the Sun, our radiant life force, conjunct Venus, the planet of values and relating, value is at the forefront of our consciousness. We are likely to feel called to be in our graceful, gentle and loving nature over the year ahead with this aspect, though not at the expense of loosing our self, but rather with the gift of finding our self through that relating.
Money
The Sun is in the 2nd house of our inner and outer resources, with Venus, Chiron (the wounded healer) and Ceres (how we experience nurturance) we are in for an overhaul of our relationship to our resources (further illustrated by Uranus, the planet of change, transiting through Taurus, the sign of resources), as we confront the wounds (Chiron) and illusions we have had around them (Venus in Pisces in the 2nd). But with Ceres there, we are also supported through this healing process to actually create having those needs met and resources available to us through as a result of this process.
Venus here makes a harmonious sextile with Pluto, the planet of regeneration, indicating transformation with how we relate to both our resources and how we share those resources in our relating. We can see this especially evident in the economic suppression of the global lockdowns and how they are both forcing and inspiring creative and innovative solutions to generating resources.
Starseed awakening & Liberation from Fear/Shadows
Aquarius is the sign of Extra Terrestrials, as well as multidimensional consciousness. For these reasons, I would consider it the primary sign, or one of them, that deals with Starseeded souls. For those who have strong Aquarian, Uranian or 11th house aspects in their chart, they are likely to feel connected with the systems-busting energy of these Renegade-of-Light souls that incarnated into this dimension to fulfill on the Great Aquarian promise of freedom and liberation. A huge component to this is for each Starseed soul to activate their own inner-brilliance and genius, by giving up the futile game of fitting in, and finally embracing the genius that comes from being unapologetically our True Self, in all its glorious weirdness and individuality.
With the current Saturn in Aquarius squaring (an aspect of tension) Uranus in Taurus transits, we have a kind of energetic and spiritual showdown between the old guard and paradigm of Capricorn and its rigid, dominating, limiting structures, and the promise of the new, out-of-the-box innovation of Aquarius, and most particularly, the revolution of our own consciousness within.
It’s not just a change of the external guard, though this is included, it’s very much a change of our own self that interacts with these systems. As we remember our true gifts and innate power, we are able to revolutionize old paradigms and be the channel itself that births these new realities into our world. Jupiter is also in the 12th house and Sign of Aquarius in the Solar Return Chart, indicating further expansion into, and even blessings from, these other worldly energies.
The biggest challenges that this solar return chart for 2021 suggests here is that we confront the hidden or unclear elements of our self (12th house) in order to create space and access to higher vibrational and dimensional consciousness. With both Saturn and Jupiter as the most massive planets in our solar system, along with Pluto in the 12th house of hidden enemies, we are being called to task to face our unconscious, confront the shadow elements primarily within ourselves, so that we may be best equipped to not only divest from this collapsing system, but that we can be fully empowered in the wholeness of our True Divine Self to create a new and far beyond it.
As we remember our innate connection to the principles of Universal Love, Humanity, Community and interconnectedness, we align ourselves with our higher vibrations and give an energetic foundation for these expressions to further manifest in the world. As we reconnect with the Truth of Who We Are, and reclaim the God/Dess given potential within us, we can create harmony and literal heaven on Earth. The trick is, we have to be willing to both confront and release everything that isn’t that, to make space for the new, and that Highest potential.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
Astrology is an ancient form of psychology coupled with theology, based on the assumption that your life path and personality is influenced by the positions of the stars. In modern times, this ancient school of thought has come under much scrutiny, and rightfully so, given it has been the bastion of charlatans and scam artists. But there appears to be something real at work. Epistemologically, if a body of claimed knowledge provides predicting power, if it’s useful and pragmatic, then it suggests there’s some truth to it. Astrology is also a taxonomy—an arbitrary system of organizing phenomena for ease of use and comprehension in human life. The preceding article discusses astrology, providing food for thought about subtle influences. This information is helpful to contemplate because it is a topic of subtle and holistic connections, which is a topic close to the concept of the Creator and a creation made for a purpose. Additionally, because astrology is difficult to prove objectively, yet provides valid objective descriptions of reality, it is an excellent subject to study to expand one’s thinking and exercises holistic philosophy skills. With the ability to recognize subtle interconnected realities, one has the power to gain much wisdom and even approach Creator-consciousness if one maintains an open mind and a critical discerning eye.
