Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul is proving that when it comes to New York, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Governor Hochul, the replacement for resigned governor Andrew Cuomo, visited a Rochester hospital on Wednesday and delivered the message that healthcare workers who do not abide by the vaccine mandate by the Sept. 27 deadline are ‘replaceable.’
“To all the healthcare providers, doctors and nurses in particular who are vaccinated, I say thank you. Because you are keeping true to your oath,” she said. “To those who won’t, we will be replacing people,” she added.
“We are sending out a call statewide,” she went on. “There are facilities, for example in New York City, that 98% of their staff are vaccinated, they don’t have a worker shortage. We are working closely with these hospitals to find out where we can get other individuals to come in and supplement nursing homes and other facilities.”
Hochul claimed that those who want their personal healthcare choices respected may be replaced by foreign healthcare workers who are issued work visas.
“We’re also reaching out to the Department of State to find out about visas for foreign workers, on a limited basis, to bring more nurses over here,” she said.
The former disgraced governor Andrew Cuomo issued the state’s vaccine mandate in August, shortly before he resigned. There is no testing opt-out for New York health care workers.
Governor Hochul is even weighing deploying the National Guard due to an expected healthcare worker shortage because of the vaccine mandate:
In a statement released on Saturday, the governor’s office said Ms. Hochul was laying plans for an executive order to declare a state of emergency that would “allow qualified health care professionals licensed in other states or countries, recent graduates, retired and formerly practicing health care professionals to practice in New York State.”
Other options, the statement said, included calling in medically trained National Guard members to deliver care and to work with the federal government to deploy Disaster Medical Assistance Teams, which are operated by the Department for Health and Human Services.
The Democratic governor would be declaring yet another “state of emergency” over the fizzling Covid pandemic, despite hospitalizations in New York for patients who test positive for Covid being currently manageable:
The “state of emergency” would thus be entirely created by the State of New York’s coercive and unnecessary policies, and not due to the waning pandemic itself. The Covid vaccines do not prevent transmission, as even the CDC Director admitted, and thus the only rationale to take the vaccine is to lower personal risk from the virus.

Idiotic! The National Guard Doctors and nurses have full time jobs at hospitals and clinics, and once called to guard duty, leave those jobs. So people will be leaving a hospital or clinic, to go to a hospital or clinic? Doesn’t she understand how the guard works? That’s not how it works! That’s not how any of this works! Moronic Democrats!
