Tuesday before midnight (EST) we have a New Moon in Capricorn, giving us a reset point opportunity for both the inner feelings and outer manifestations of those feelings in our lives. Being in Capricorn, this is particularly connected to structures and boundaries, and with Pluto, the transformation planet nearby, we are presented with that which has outlived its usefulness, to be eliminated, making way for the new energies ahead.

From Darkness to Light 

On Wednesday, the Sun perfects its conjunction with Pluto, illuminating with the clarity of solar consciousness those shadows that have been brought forth to be purged and overcome. Later that morning, Mars in Taurus squares Saturn in Aquarius, initiating tension between what new structures we are being called to innovate versus the sense of stability and satisfaction we want to experience in life. Frustrations may be high but it’s a great time to breathe and reboot, as Mars is also squaring Jupiter, which can leave us overconfident or making hasty decisions. Wednesday night, the Moon conjuncts Jupiter in Aquarius, bringing a sense of hope and optimism in the face of the challenges of building those new systems and structures.

 

Uranus Direct Motion

Thursday, Uranus comes out of retrograde into its direct motion at 3:36am, super charged with the embodiment of the Aquarian energy it carries and rules, adding its revolutionary frequencies into this already rapidly increasing energetic. Aquarius and Uranus rule surprises, so expecting the unexpected is usually a safe bet when dealing with their energy.

 

Mercury Retrograde Ahead

 

Friday early a.m., Mercury enters its shadow period at 11° Aquarius, where it will revisit in February. This eventually comes after it finally completes its upcoming retrograde cycle, which begins on January 30th. Technological glitches, upsets, and delays in communication are a high probability throughout this phase of Mercury’s journey through the zodiac. Expect more on these themes over the next several weeks, including the big tech censoring we have been seeing ramp up since Mercury entered Aquarius, the sign that rules the internet and technology. 

 

 

The Old Versus the New 

Saturday, the Moon in dreamy Pisces will sextile  Mars and Uranus in Taurus, giving us the emotional sensitivity along with the drive and ingenuity to see our dream through and ground it into reality. Sunday, Jan 17th, Jupiter squares Uranus, indicating an increase of tension between individualism and being socially mindful. Moderation can be a remedy here. On this day, Jupiter also makes a conjunction to the US Nation’s natal south node of karma, and destiny. This gives the United States an opportunity to clear and release any alliances from the past that don’t align with our future, and will create space for new alliances that actually support our destiny, rather than hinder it. Sun in Aquarius Season 2021 

On Monday, the Moon in Aries conjuncts Chiron, giving us access to emotional healing for any wounded warrior consciousness we may still be carrying that is ready to be renewed and revitalized.  On Tuesday, the Sun moves into the sign of Aquarius, at 3:40pm, bringing its guiding light into the new age we are co-creating. Thus, adding its powerhouse of energy to the liberation movement that our collective consciousness is cultivating, and adding even more weird, unexpected turns of events ahead. 

Winds of Change ♒ 

While change can often be upsetting, even undesired in some cases, the Higher Powers that guide the stars and our lives often have bigger plans in store. As we root out the limitations of the old-guard structures that shadow consciousness has manifested, we find ourselves rising higher and breathing easier. As we release our own karmic ties to the dominator culture of this fading world (new book “Ascending the Narcissystem” in-depth on this topic to be released soon!) we can claim our own liberation within. As we realize the gift of the full potential within the journey from the Capricorn lesson of responsibility to the Aquarian calling of Sovereignty, we can see how this all gives us the grit, the skill and fresh perspective to master our own authority.
