(Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump‘s nominee for the Supreme Court, revealed that her notepad for jotting down her thoughts has been blank when prompted by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) at Tuesday’s hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on her appointment.

Barrett then held up her blank notepad that she had been using throughout the hours-long hearing and Cornyn asked, “Is there anything on it?”
“The letterhead that says ‘US Senate,’” she replied.

“That’s impressive,” he said.
Throughout the second day of her confirmation hearing, Judge Barrett has been grilled by Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats on her views regarding topics such as the Affordable Care Act, Roe v. Wade, and whether or not she would recuse herself from any election lawsuits involving President Trump.
The third day of hearings on Wednesday will feature more questions from senators and answers from Judge Barrett.
Outside witnesses will testify before the committee for or against the appointment of Barrett on Thursday. On October 22, it is predicted that the committee will vote to progress her nomination to the floor of the Senate to vote on her appointment. The entire 100-member body would then vote on October 29—merely five days before the presidential election.
I admire Amy Coney Barrett for many reasons… the fact her knowledge of law is so internalized and coherent she needs no notes is only one. When truth is your guide, and you follow it where it leads, memory mobilizes swiftly and emotions flow with tranquility. https://t.co/fgNsTzDxFu
