AOC is One of the Most Worthless Member of Congress, New Academic Study Shows

A new academic study from the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking shows evidence for what many American who have been following her already know: She is all talk and no action.

AOC introduced a total of 21 “substantive” bills according to the research. But Ocasio-Cortez’s legislation was not taken up by committees, received no floor votes, and none ever became law.

“She introduced a lot of bills, but she was not successful at having them receive any sort of action in committee or beyond committee and if they can’t get through committee they cannot pass the House,” Alan Wiseman, a Vanderbilt political scientist, told The New York Post.

According to the survey’s methodology, based on Congress.gov data, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez ranked 230th out of 240 Democrats.

The Center for Effective Lawmaking is co-directed by Alan Wiseman, Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair and professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University, and Craig Volden, professor of public policy and politics at the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.

In February, one endeavor of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was emblematic of her time spent in office not representing her constituents. She traveled to Texas to do a charity drive in the wake of Ted Cruz evacuating his kids to Cancun during the Texas freeze.

The charity drive was accompanied by attacks on Texas Senator Ted Cruz, whom she ludicrously claimed “almost had me murdered.” She also demonized an unnamed police officer that came to rescue her during the Capitol siege by comparing him to a potential sexual predator.

Her constituents back home in Queens and the Bronx have been frozen out of much-needed leadership on the coronavirus pandemic. The Bronx has been grappling with poverty and a pandemic that has led to the borough having the the highest case fatality rate in New York City.

“We don’t see anyone coming to our rescue,” said Mychal Johnson, co-founder of the community organization South Bronx Unite,. “The community residents here are pretty much living in shock.”

Meanwhile, AOC does much to deflect from her failed leadership in her home district. She called for an “investigation” into Governor Cuomo’s nursing home scandal, when she did nothing to politically oppose his deadly March 2020 executive order that has been tied to thousands of deaths. Goverrnor Cuomo has still not resigned and her “me too” mumblings have evaporated.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has been accused of being absent without leave in her own district numerous times before.

“I thought AOC would be our savior, but that’s not the case,” local activist Roxanne Delgado told the New York Post in a 2019 report.

“She has to address these local issues. Her district is everywhere else in the US. Her heart is not in the Bronx,” said Anthony Vitaliano, a former police officer and community board member.

It is clearly demonstrable that she effectively never did address the systemic issues for her own district. If she can’t even get her own backyard right with her radical policies, then how can she “save” America with socialism?
