“Colorado will further relax the COVID-19 restrictions managed through the state’s color-coded dial next week, with plans to ease the statewide mask order in two weeks, then turn over control of most public health orders to local governments in mid-April,” the Denver Post reported.
“The proposed changes to the dial include reopening bars in most parts of the state for the first time since last summer and lifting all statewide limits on the size of personal gatherings,” the reported continued
The COVID rules relaxation will apply to Level Blue and Level Green counties, including a relaxation of the mask mandate in Green counties for everyone except 11 to 18 year old students until the end of the school year.
“Colorado has been easing COVID-19 public health restrictions in recent months — and is preparing to go even further — as infections have declined from the deadly late-2020 surge and more and more people get vaccinated against the virus,” the Denver Post also reported.
“A mandatory mask-wearing requirement for Colorado went into effect in July 2020 and recently was amended in Executive Order D 2021 056 on March 5, 2021 until April 4, 2021,” the Colorado state government said. “It may continue to be extended if necessary.”
