Total B.S. The one thing that most of these knuckleheads don’t realize is that this is the only place in Egypt where these images occur. Egyptian religious texts which were carved into temple walls very rarely, if ever, deviated from stylistically formulae throughout the 3000 year history of Egypt. If these were are depictions of helicopters and airplanes, etc. they would have appeared elsewhere in other temples in other time periods.
Second, this temple was started by Seti I, and completed by his son Ramesses II (also called “the Great”).. The front half of the temple was begun by Seti, and the back half completed by Ramesses. The lintel where these images are located is in the middle of the temple. Seti’s cartouche was carved first, then Rameses had his father’s name covered over, and his name carved on top. When the plaster dried and fell off over the centuries, you get the images you see today. The big clue is the other hieroglyphs on the lintel which are part of Seti’s title. What the gentleman calls a ‘fish’ is really a sedge plant. The combination of the bee and the reed (sedge plant) are title which read the King of Northern Egypt (bee) and Southern Egypt (Reed). Clearly, this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

You can find other sites which debunk this nonsense (if you are brave enough to go look for them!) A modicum of critical thinking is what’s needed here. Going off and espousing a half-baked theory does not further our understanding the true meaning of ancient Egypt’s legacy. There are much deeper teachings and wisdom which the ancient Egyptians have given us, and by giving space to such goofy theories only delays the unveiling what really went on in the secret chambers of Egypt temples. Please, Justin, exercise some healthy skepticism when choosing to repeat such nonsense in your otherwise excellent web site.
