(John Vibes) Biographer for the Royal Family, Lady Colin Campbell, recently appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain where she defended Prince Andrew against claims of pedophilia.

In her defense of the disgraced prince, Campbell pointed to the “prostitution” charge that Jeffrey Epstein was convicted of in 2008, and attempted to downplay the fact that the girls were underage by suggesting that he was simply hiring sex workers.
“You all seem to have forgotten that Jeffrey Epstein, the offense for which he was charged and for which he was imprisoned, was for soliciting prostitution from minors. That is not the same thing as pedophilia,” Campbell told a shocked panel Monday morning.
Host Piers Morgan immediately challenged her claims, saying:
If you solicited a 14-year-old for prostitution, you’re a pedophile.
You’re procuring an underage girl for sex. That’s what he was convicted of. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, with respect, that is nonsense.
Campbell then immediately attempted to backpedal, claiming that a distinction must be made between a minor and a child.
“Was he? 14? Well, I’m not justifying Jeffrey Epstein. Pedophilia, I suspect there’s a difference between a minor and a child,” she said.
“A 14-year-old is a child. Legally, she’s a child,” Morgan replied.
Campbell then admitted that the prince may have “made many mistakes,” but insisted that his only mistake was being too clueless to realize that one of his closest friends was a predator.

“You can’t criticize someone because they aren’t as bright as you would like them to be,” she said.
The controversy surrounding Prince Andrew has grown since his Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis. In the interview, the prince gave a variety of bizarre excuses and defenses for the accusations against him, including a claim that he could not sweat due to a rare physical condition.
He also denied knowing about the trafficking victim, Virginia Giuffre—formerly known as Virginia Roberts—despite appearing in photos with her when she was under the age of 18. However, he has previously suggested that these photos are “doctored.” Photographic evidence has been uncovered showing that the prince does, in fact, sweat. He also claimed that even though he did not remember meeting the victim on the night that she said, he does vividly remember his alibi, saying he went to a Pizza Express in Woking before returning home that night.
“Going to Pizza Express in Woking is an unusual thing for me to do, a very unusual thing for me to do. I’ve never been… I’ve only been to Woking a couple of times and I remember it weirdly distinctly,” he said.

The interview was so disastrous for the Royal Family that one of Prince Andrew’s PR advisors quit in response to the broadcast. And to make matters even worse, a video clip from 1984 recently resurfaced showing Johnny Carson, then-host of The Tonight Show, making a joke about Prince Andrew being a pedophile.
None of this looks good for the Royal Family.
Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
The news is important to all people because it is where we come to know new things about the world, which leads to the development of more life goals that lead to life wisdom. The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do. With the power of an open truth-seeking mind in hand, the individual can grow wise and the collective can prosper.

Lady C posted this on Facebook:
It has become apparent that the comments I made on Good Morning Britain have been misconstrued or taken out of context. I do NOT support molestation of anyone, irrespective of their age. I deplore ALL molestation, and find it inexcusable that anyone would imply otherwise. The dictionary defines paedophilia as applying exclusively to prepubescent children. Sexual misconduct with pubescent minors is not paedophilia, but misconduct with a minor.
There is a world of difference between an adult ‘interfering’ with a prepubescent child and one ‘interfering’ with a pubescent adolescent. Odious though both are, the former is a far more serious crime than the latter, and confusing the one with the other does no favours to the prepubescent, who are infinitely more vulnerable than pubescent adolescents.
Insofar as Jeffrey Epstein is concerned, I have deplored the man since the 70s. Long before his appalling sexual conduct became known, I knew him to be a sleazebag, not because of anything sexual (all of that has only come out recently), but because he tried to con a friend of mine out of a Belgravia flat he was subletting from her. Unlike the Bill Clintons and Yorks, I was never duped by his charm, the lure of his wealth, and his undoubted brilliance.
Nevertheless, I am dumbfounded that the Jeffrey Epstein story is being driven across the Atlantic, to damage British institutions while letting American ones, which are responsible, off the hook. The British monarchy is presently a far more respected institution than the American presidency, and I question the wisdom of allowing attention to be diverted away from President Bill Clinton’s undoubtedly closer relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, to Prince Andrew’s basically distant one. While it is true that Epstein’s gross and serious corruption of young women only became apparent a few months ago, when he was arrested, let us remember that this is essentially an American story, about an American pervert whose misconduct took place primarily in America, and involved mostly Americans. Even his conviction, which deceived everyone as to the severity of his conduct, is a failure of the American justice system. He was not charged with, nor imprisoned for, paedophilia,or even for ‘congress with minors’ (to use an old-fashioned description that accords the victims more dignity than contemporary terms), but for soliciting the services of minors for prostitution. This was a fig leaf which his money purchased from a corrupt system, deceiving all onlookers as to his true debauchery.
Had he been imprisoned for sexual misconduct with minors, this would have exposed the full extent of what he had been up to. It would have allowed people who knew him, people like President Clinton and Prince Andrew, to know what they were really dealing with. The fact that the American authorities chose to conceal the full extent of his crimes against young women by introducing the element of prostitution, is what protected him, while deceiving all onlookers as to the reality of what was truly going on.
There is real and justified anger at what has happened. Those who are responsible should be held accountable, not those who were innocent bystanders, or, in my case, those who were simply trying to point out that one degree of terrible should not be confused with another.
