Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
History is the tapestry of events of human activity that have led to the present. Without understanding where we have been, we can’t properly understand and shape the future we want to create. The preceding information discusses history in some respect. With a proper understanding of history in hand, one can better comprehend their place in the present, as well as positively, contribute to the guiding of civilization toward a benevolent end.

I recently posted an informative article about ‘usual’ commerce of the 17th-19th centuries involving the Dutch East India Company (1604 first Corporation) that eventually also involved the British and for a short time the ill-fated Portuguese East India company.
That post was for the benefit of the press loving ‘Squad’ and generations X,Y,Z who either forgot history or were never taught the proper data.
It was relative to the erroneous delusions that reparations are necessary to right a wrong beginning with the (white, male) Founding Fathers here in America.
When reading all of the historical data on these East India Companies it becomes apparent that this became the typical commerce of the day- right or wrong from our modern day perspective.
Slavery (via human trafficking). drugs, and the competitive, greedy push to control was part and parcel of that commerce. It not only included African tribes turning on neighboring tribes to supply the ships with human cargo, it included other continents as well. Was this considered, “All in a day’s work” perhaps?
One cannot fault the early American colonists for carrying out what was considered acceptable by their standards and weigh them against 21st century standards via shame and punishment of history; to what end?
Learn the correct facts of history and the events that stirred the course of it in hope that it does not repeat itself.
Then again, perhaps the re-write of history is to actually foster the ‘repeat’ (vernacular) out of ignorance, for a reason no matter how pernicious or nefarious. Repetition is not in itself the issue.
Isn’t repetition also used in schools for memorizing tables/linguistics, and yet in hidden programs for mind control, or propaganda? The intention is the key not the process.
Suffice it to say that another element to this, which I won’t approach in the reply has to do with an interesting and developing dynamic called, ‘the Mandela Effect’.
The greater question now becomes, “Who or what is the modern day East India Company?”
Silicon Valley technology?
Serco?
Entertainment/Media Industry?
Government Corporations?
Food for thought and another article.
